The idiom is very similar in the original Dwarven.

You sample liberally from the alcohols on display, as any gods-fearing dwarf at a religious festival would. On a lark, you also take a moment to locate and try a delicacy made with mud wrensfoot just to see if it was worth all this shouting and scurrying around.

...it really wasn't.

As you begin to feel that your social is adequately lubricated, it becomes time once again for the crux of any social event: choosing how to make the most of the limited time you have to spend on social connections! It's like a Persona game, only you don't get to beat up Fyiania and use her husk like a divine pokémon. I've never actually played a Persona game, but I'm pretty sure that's how they go, right? I'm getting off topic here.

A) Some of the Fyiania-worshippers are mingling with some merchants over by the hors-d'oeuvre tables.
B) Various other priests have deeply enmeshed themselves among the socially-lubricated ranks of the jarls and thegns, no doubt pressing for donations as usual.
C) Oddly enough, the runesmiths seem to be more open than usual, several of them now chatting about hammers and chisels or such with their more mundane artisan counterparts.
D) Not too far away from that, some more runesmiths are even deigning to converse with peasants, or maybe trying to get them to buy some magic hoes. Perhaps alcohol was the secret to runesmith friendship all along? Those Fyiania priests were particularly liberal with the good vintages.
E) Members of the fortress guard are at the ready throughout the room, of course, enjoying the party but never truly off-duty should trouble arise. You could certainly strike up a conversation with one of them.
F) If you've got someone specific in mind, you could try to locate any named dwarf for a one-on-one. Most of the interesting people should be here, you figure.
G) "Actually, I think I'm just going to stand here... and drink..."

You decide to once again allow the runesmiths a chance to enjoy your august presence. It seems as though they have a natural alliance with artisans — the atmosphere in this crowd is completely unlike any time you've seen runesmiths at other functions. You're pretty sure you even heard somebody telling a joke! The runesmith couple from before are here, and you finally get their names: Dael and Estfer.
