Elysia
You put the book down in the "Hub" area for the time being, then make an attempt to bolster the signal through the use of ether...

You learn a bit from this. The first thing is that the "Signal" actually comes from the entirety of T'agsassith; and travels though the multiverse. Increasing the power of this signal through brute force would require the power of a god; the power of a demigod wasn't going to suffice.

To get a better signal, there are few things you could do.

You could travel to a different world that has a better signal from T'agsassith. The stronger the signal is, the more you can affect, but the more the world can affect you back.

You could also enter T'agsassith with your physical body and not a mental avatar. This would bypass the need for a signal entirely; but you wouldn't be able to do what you need to do wherever you are. As per the law of the land, to open one door is to close another...

Or... It just might be possible to increase the susceptibility of the signal in the world that you are physically in. How and if this is possible... The answer lies not in this world.

"Well, that's s bit annoying. Can't even boost the signal. I guess I'm a long way from my Conduit days."

"Well, at least I can explore"

Perking up, she heads through the other portal for now, Timelines be dammed.

You decide to leave the book behind in the hub, then exit through the gateway to the forested area in the Tundra. If it weren't sufficiently clear that this is the same place as it was before already, you can tell that there is ether here. It seems improbable that ether would exist in a place you haven't spread it to.

The place is cold as it was before, and the area is extremely quiet...

Let's get Reading. Are there other layers to it?

I do not understand what you are trying to do. Please provide me with the name of the ability, and exactly how you are trying to use it.

I also do not know what you mean by "are there other layers to it". I especially do not know what you are referring to by "it".

Do you remember the house?

Read the Ether and find out if there is anything like that here.

You use your World Order ability to see if you can detect anything house-like. What you find... Its not quite a house, but there is a stone floor that could not have been formed naturally about a kilometer to the west.

You start heading to the west, and activate your Armor art for reasons I am uncertain about. After about 10 minutes, you see something that looks like footprints in the snow. There are also handprints. They appear to be moving about almost randomly, frequently turning. This area has a lot of shrubbery and small boulders, and slightly less trees than the area that came before it.

Monaco Art: Break/Destroy all Concealing Enchantments. Leave everything else alone.

You are aware that 破Monado Art-Break/Destroy does not work that way. It would destroy everything in the immediate area around you, and you may have intended to use a different ability. If you still want to do this, please verify that.

Pretty sure it was supposed to work that way. Not the total destruction it seems to be causing.

I mean, that is supposed to be my magic/aura/related buff/debuff canceller..

Hua... Well, that means I don't have such an ability to use for that. Reading the Ether it is then. And more World Order too, I suppose.

Elysia
A possible explanation for the effects of your ability might be that the entire world is like an "Effect" that can be dispelled? Its all rather confusing.

You decide to use World Order to spread some ether. The process takes a couple of minutes before it is fully readable... You are not able to track whatever left these trails because they were never in the ether however, but you are pretty sure that there are no invisible or magically cloaked people in the immediate vicinity.

You detect a foul odor in the air... It is coming from the southwest.

Elysia
You continue moving, and the mystery as to what left the trails in the snow quickly becomes solved. You hear something moving along the shrubbery, and about half a dozen of these things emerge. They look like people at a quick glance, but closer inspection shows them bending and twisting in strange ways. They have no mouth and no eyes, and where these things should be you can see that their body is completely hollowed out. Despite this, they seem perfectly capable of moving towards you at a pretty fast speed as evidenced by the fact that this is exactly what they are doing right now!
