Gaal'garot figured that he was most likely looking at a domesticated creature. If one of them went missing, that would bring about some suspicion that he didn't feel like invoking right now, and he wasn't going to impersonate an animal that would probably be exposed to daylight.

This also implied that this was a rural area, which might not have a proper military. Gaal'garot would skulk around the area to see if he could find someone who happens to be... Alone.

You decide to take a short look around. Despite still needing clothing.

Being rather rocky, there's not much in a way of clues. You don't find anything but a few bunnit hollows and small rodents.

The area does have plant life around.

Movement/action?

Gaal'garot decides to drain one of the rodents, and use its form for the time being; then continue to look around. The rodent form would be a lot less suspicious than his current one.

You try to snatch a rodent.

Fwsh-

And miss. It runs away at high speed.

Evidently, even the rodents weren't ordinary. At this point Gaal'garot was giving serious consideration to just leaving this world for a while.

The lack of any obvious hints of civilization implied that they were underground. This would make it extremely awkward to stay here over the day. He would forget about it and continue his travels to the north.

You travel north along the mountain side. After 20 minutes movement, you see light on the northern horizon.

Gaal'garot would continue, and check the sky to get a feel for how much time he had left.

Around 5 hours have passed since you woke at the oasis.

Action?

You travel further along the cliffside for 5 minutes before you come to a valley in the mountain range. Sitting at the entrance is a maze of metal, earth, greenery, and stone. It looks like a city. Bronze as the pipes you first saw.

Gaal'garot considers in what way a maze could look like a city. He would also look around to see if he could find more than just the one entrance, and what kind of ether he could now sense within it. If he was going to pay it a visit he would want to do some basic research first.

Ether Sense Lv1.
Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, Dark, Light.. Your sense isn't really useful at such range.

What Gaal'garot did know, is that Light is a very rare variant of Ether. If he could detect that, then this place would probably be sophisticated to the point where he would not want to mess around on this particular night.

He would continue his travels to the North East instead.

You head into the mountains. Climbing the middle ground to get a good view after a few minutes, you hear running water, wind, and other creatures around, including the bats.

Gaal'garot thinks for a moment. If there is a city near a river... Then that probably means that they rely on it for their water... He could take advantage of this.

But right now he wanted to find a nice place to rest during the day. He would continue to look for a suitable cave formation. He would follow the river upstream to see if he could locate the river source while doing so.
