Put simply, even with your Supernatural Vision, it's near invisible.
You can hear it, but sight is a tricky prospect.

Gaal'garot decided how he was going to start the hunt. He would use a low intensity sonic screetch to initiate things, just as he did back at the Blade's "Prior Location". The bats didn't need to rely on sight in order to find things after all. Gaal'garot would then follow the bats. He would sharpen his senses, using vision only to map out the geological features of the cave.

Sonic Screech

You send out a pulse, but it comes back distorted. Apparently that's a reason bats don't use it.

If the bats don't screetch, then what do they do? Gaal'garot decided to warm up by hunting a couple of bats first and observing how the ones in this cave defend themselves.

You drop down into the cave to hunt.

...What happened to the rippling sound?

Gaal'garot decides to do a few tests to determine if the anomaly is due to the cave itself or if it is due to what resides inside the cave. First, he exits the cave and checks the moonlight. Does the moon think that there is something noteworthy inside?

You focus on the senses the diffuse Moon's light grants you.

There's something invisible coming straight at you!

Though conventional detection methods failed, Gaal'garot decided to move into the moonlight at exactly the right time. Wasn't exactly what he had in mind, but it worked. He would stand still and await the perfect moment; the brief period of time where it would be too late for the incoming entity to take evasive action once he started moving himself. Using the light of the moon as his eyes, he would deliver a powerful overhead blow with his fist to the incoming invisible entity at exactly the right time. He wanted to smash it straight to the floor in front of him so that he would know where to bite after.

Size, 10 feet long.

It flares up and
Spinning Bolt

Balls of lightning spin toward you at speed, seeking to surround you. You see it's flat form curved inward.

Well, at least Gaal'garot had a clear target. Apparently its advanced stealth was less combat oriented and more tactical in nature, sort of like Gaal'garot's stealth. Also like Gaal'garot's stealth, it ultimately turned out to be highly ineffective at a pivotal moment.

Gaal'garot was starting to understand the world more and more. Even the sneakiest of predators had this "cue" that he could understand that they let out prior to attacking. This also probably meant that if there wasn't a "cue" then there wasn't going to be an attack? He was less than certain about that one. He also entertained the possibility that he also made a similar cue unknowingly prior to his own attacks, even if he didn't actually give them.

He would make an effort to dodge this attack, even though he was fairly certain that Lightning Ether wasn't going to be effective against him. He would do this by making a short jump towards the creature, just high enough to leap over an orb should be start flying towards him. He would position himself to be able to hop like this multiple times in a row...

It flaps away from you as you dodge the bolts. You can still here them crackling as they seem to turn to strike at you though.

Gaal'garot moves towards the nearest solid surface other than the ground. He would stand in front of it then dodge as the bolts moved towards him. They seemed a bit slow while turning, so colliding with a wall could take care of them...

Given the nearest surface is toward them.. There!

You see it has a long tail on the end.

Gaal'garot

(I don't understand the latest update post. Could you elaborate?)

The nearest surface is where the attack is, and anything else necessitates going through the enemy in front.

Or you can try and peel off, but that still means you'll be between the bolts and it.

Also, night.
