You head toward the rushing sound of water.

After getting turned around a few times, you determine it's coming from inside one of these mountains. After 27 minutes you find an entrance into the cave system.

Gaal'garot goes to investigate the inside of the caves to see what resides in them...

You enter. It's a bit cramped for you, but you eventually reach the exit.

Water falls from the walls, and the entire cavern is lit by glowing crystals on the walls and ceiling. They are also scattered about the floor and lakes. There is an entire Ecosystem within the hollow rock of the mountain. Tree leaves glow softly further in on the different levels.

Gaal'garot surmises that if there are tree leaves, then that probably means that sunlight would get into the cave somehow. He would do an inspection to see if "streamers" would be going into this cave from above during the daytime.

Taking a look at a tree from up close, Ether Sense Lv1.

You can tell that this tree is absorbing various natural Ether around it. No sunlight required...

You also note that those crystals give off trace amounts of Light Ether amidst their Earth Ether. Apparently, Nature tends to equate light of any type with Light Ether. No more dangerous than Starlight in that form, though absorbing it could prove dangerous.

The area wasn't ideal, but Gaal'garot wasn't expecting to find the perfect cave in the next couple of hours. He would next investigate the lower levels of the cave.

You travel to one of the ridges and took down. You can tell there's quite a bit to hunt here simply from this view. You may need to travel farther into the cave to get higher.

This lower area is nearly all water, save for a few small rocks sticking out.

Gaal'garot works on scouting the cave system whatever its called to understand which tunnels whatever its called leads to where. If he had to fight in the daytime, he wanted to know as much as possible about the layout and wildlife.

You head up to the higher steps.

You can see birds with 4 wings, Toads, Herons, hornets' nests. The overarching theme seems to be big. Nothing is smaller than a bunnit, other than a few bugs. And even that appears more as a larvae stage for them.

There appears to be grass on the higher steps, and they are all somewhat different to their surrounding steps' elevation. Water goes down to form quite a few watery lakes contained and descending to lower lakes.

On the whole, being able to fly is the only way to reach across gaps somewhat quickly. Otherwise, you would need to head one step, to the next.

The end of the cave is some ways away, if in sight. A number of large tree crowns can be seen that way.

Gaal'garot decided that this was probably going to have to suffice. The presence of dangerous wildlife would be beneficial provided that they didn't go out of their way to attack him as they signaled that this was not a civilized place, and he would be able to ghoulify an entire pools of water with his Curse of the Vampire ability if it came to that.

Next order of business: Locate or carve out a designated place for him to wait in during the day. The ideal was a location with at least two directions to move in that blocks line of sight but not other senses.

A tall order, but you get looking.

Roll 1.

You end up attracting the attention of a nearby plant in your search. It's twice your height and 10 feet of diameter out of the ground, and it attacks you.

{Note, it was in the ground before.}

Gaal'garot is starting to notice a theme to these rolls.

Gaal'garot takes a moment to identify what kind of attack it uses, as this wasn't stated in the last update post. He also checks to see the identify the ether composition of the plant.

It's a plant. Primarily Water. Some Earth. And it is literally just trying to eat you. So it's bending down. Crown on it's head is bigger than the rest of its diameter.

No Fire however.

Gaal'garot surmises that the plant was most likely a pitcher plant, which attempted to swallow its prey whole before digesting. Its body was probably about a foot thick to provide it protection against internal attacks.

He would use his Supernatural Dexterity to dodge diagonally backwards. The base of the plant which was still underground was most likely its most vulnerable point so he would force it to either give up or reveal itself fully. Either that or shoot lasers or something. Things in this world usually could do things like that for some reason.

It stands up on three legs.
Poison Acid

It throws a large glob of green liquid at you from its top.
