Gaal'garot decides that if the humans are keeping watch now, then they probably are expecting a possible monster attack at any time. Getting in touch with the moon would continue to be his priority, so he decided to leave to the northeast before he got spotted in the dark. He wanted to maintain even a modicum of stealth while he was still in his weakened state.

You need clothes at some point, but not tonight apparently. You head Northeast.

9 minutes in, and you come across another Oasis.

Gaal'garot finds it a bit odd that there are no animals by an oasis. It seems like such an obvious place to find them... Maybe they simply weren't "Moon-worthy".

He takes a look at the plants in the area before he takes his leave.

A glowing lichen on the rocks, a few trees.

Direction?

You travel northeast, eventually the sand starts to give way to rock. Mountains can be seen in the distance.

30 minutes elapsed. More Scorpions on the way, but nothing else sensed.

Gaal'garot continues to travel, this time adjusting his direction to keep the mountain range at about the same distance from his current location. As he didn't see the mountains before he could ensure he went somewhere new in this manner.

As a note, you see small rocks and animals on the rocky plains.

20 minutes pass in this way before you spot a river coming down the mountains.

Gaal'garot stops. It seems that the moon does not recognize the small creatures and that he can see them. This suggests that it only highlights... Gaal'garot didn't quite get its reasoning yet.

He would stop to try to catch one of the small animals. It might give him a hint about his next actual target.

More the fact that they are too far. The small creatures don't usually register though.

You use your ES to Hunt as you move forward to the river. The river seems to meander north northwest into the desert.

Those animals in the distance are sleeping, and rather large.

Sound on the winds. Fluttering sheets of.. Wings. There may be something if you follow that sound into the desert.

A desert animal that makes noise as it flies. Its probably different from the bird, the wings seem more insectoid in nature to Gaal'garot based on his first impression. He decides to focus on that sound. This could be the third animal!

You travel toward the sound along the river. 20 minutes brings you to a cavern that the water flows into. You can hear the fluttering from.. Inside. Their seems to be quite a few entrances.

Gaal'garot decided to check it out. He felt pretty comfortable around caves despite the previous issues that he had. If he was going up against a flying enemy, it would be preferable to fight it in a closed area such as this one.

First, he would go to investigate the area.

Unlike that rock from earlier, this one is sloping, making climbing it a good bit easier.

Traveling while searching with ES reveals wind coming out of the cave. The sound of rippling wings comes from within. Looking inside a few of the holes, the area is lit by some mist and lichen.

While looking in one, something crosses your view of the scene. It looks like a slice of night, glittering occasionally before fading out and crossing out of sight. That appears to be the source of the rippling.

Bats are sparce, but visible.  Not so much audible though.

Gaal'garot continues to observe for a while. I do not know what a "slice of night" is supposed to be.
