Gaal'garot figured things would have gone poorly, but he wasn't expecting it to go that poorly. Marginally preferring the bat idea over the world's best attempt to play dead, he decided to bite into a bat and do the swooping away thing. He even knew exactly where to go.

There wasn't enough space to hide in the cave for the full 4 and a half minutes and it wouldn't be safe outside yet.

But he knew which direction the sun would set in. He also knew that the place by the entrance had a lot of cracks in it from his mysterious earth attack. He would be able to leave the cave system through the cracks on the side opposite to where the sun was setting and use the shade from the cave to avoid the sunlight even while out in the open air.

Bat taken, you drain it and transform.
Your launch speed far outpaces the other bats, and you should be able to maintain this speed for a while.

You head towards the lake and waterfall. The group appears to looking at you. The flames.es have subsided, and they're heading toward the shadowed exit.

You do have some new knowledge right off the bat. Apparently, Water Ether is the counter to Fire Ether, and vice versa, and Fire Blades are weak to useless in rain. That's provably why you are taking so much damage. You'll need to think over the gathered info more carefully later,

Gaal'garot continued to fly to his destination.

He remembered something relevant. The person who he drained definitely used water based attacks. The fact that the fire attack would have saved him confirmed that he was definitely filled with water ether. Gaal'garot now knew his priority for what information to look for. How to use Water Ether. So long as he had this blood, he should be able to use that ability.

He might just win this fight after all.

Heading to the cracks.

Info updated-Driver Blood Effects
A Driver receives Ether from their Blade. This Ether is aligned with the Blade's Ether. A Driver, on their own, only has trace amounts of this.
However, drawing from an Active Driver will grant you the effects of said Ether. Though this does mean that draining pure Fire Ether is likely to outright kill you. So the kids' blood is off limits.
Still, while you have no Idea how to use it, you can expend it to purge your body of the Fire Ether that has been building in your wounds. A quick application of Healing Ether, and your wounds will close, and regen will kick in again. You'll have to expend the Water Ether to do it, but being back to Prefight Standard is preferable.

So if Gaal'garot was a bit more skilled, he would actually be worse off. He would not have been able to resist draining that kids blood if given the chance.

The blood and the ether were two different things that he had absorbed; so he could continue to extract information even if he didn't have the ether. Doubting he could find a better use for it, he was more than willing to give up the Water Ether in order to get himself regenerated at this point.

For now, the plan was to stick to the shade next to the cave until the night began in earnest...

You make it to the walls, and switch back. The cracks make for good handholds, and punching through..
Water Ether Transformed: Purge System[/i]

Your healing kicks in immediately, and your arm is reforming, huh. It's just phasing in. Tingly, but its working.
Pop-
Hearing is back. That group is out in the desert, just outside the entrance, and the body is with the other two. Of the Animal Blade.. No data, and no sign of it either. You feel that may be important, but no danger jumps out at you.

3 minutes to sunset.

Gaal'garot figured that if they were outside, then they must be expecting him to try to exit the cave. Or they could be standing guard there or something. Heck, they might even have been there since before Gaal'garot even came to the world.

Suddenly, Gaal'garot knew why the kids weren't hot on his trail. He lost a lot, and I mean a LOT of blood and was in direct contact with the kids massive head wound while he did. That guy with the water ether wasn't just dead; he was UNDEAD. Not only that, but he was a form of undead that fire attacks don't work on!

He would lie low right where he is for now instead of leaving the cave. He had more time than he initially assumed.

1 minute to sunset, fully healed. Also, blood burns.

You're listening as they talk.

"Right" the girl says. She closes her eyes, and puts her hand across that gem{Core Crystal} upon her chest.

A red light shines at you. Doesn't hurt all that much, but there is a burn starting to form where it touches.

Wait. Why didn't Gaal'garot sense them approach? They must have known something that he didn't. It was becoming more and more clear that he could no longer afford to ignore the rules of this world.

It was time for him to take his leave. He would turn into his bat form and slip out through the cracks, then turn back to his normal form and run alongside the cave in its shadow to get more distance. He wouldn't get far before sundown, but he wouldn't need to. Judging by the time it took for him to navigate the cave from the inside, there should be enough of a safe area on the caves eastern exterior wall for at least one minute of travel. Assuming that the concept of "east" was even a thing in this world that is.

He would give them their victory today; if they could even consider it to be one after what he did. He would go far away and master the ways of this world. He would expand his influence and grow ever more powerful. In due time the hunter would become the hunted.

You awake buried in.. Sand. And is that a rock on you?

The last thing you remember are those words, and searing light. Then nothing.

Weary as you are though, the Blood you took seems to have been used up. New knowledge has entered you.

Temperature would suggest it's night.

Turn 2, Night 1

Gaal'garot emerges from underneath the rock. His first order of business was to look around, listen, and otherwise figure out what is in the immediate vicinity.

He wanted to take a moment to bask in the moonlight, provided that there was a moon in the sky to bask under.

An Oasis apparently. No one around though.
As you walk to the water, you see the moon half-full.

You don't feel any different..
{Note- the moon of Terra is a bit strange in your case. You don't actually have the skill to make use of what it gives you. And what it can give can differ and change.}
[In order to receive The Terra Moon's Gifts, you must hunt 3 creatures in the night desert.]
(Upon success, their ability will be passed down to you, and you can then gain the abilities Moonlight grants. For now though, you are simply able to sense creatures near you. Useful, but not overly so.)

Gaal'garot was a bit puzzled. It seemed he now had an objective; and it was something he wanted to do either way. Was the moon... Speaking to him? It couldn't be the blood telling him about its power because there is no way that the blades would know about that... Was there?

It was time to go on the hunt... But first! Gaal'garot would spend a couple of minutes just staring at the night sky. He wanted to engrave the constellations in his mind. It wouldn't help him tonight, but in the future, he wanted to be able to tell how much time was left in the night based on the position of the stars.

Then he would travel to the east in search of prey...

You spend a couple of minutes memorizing the stars. You notice something in a line across the sky.. That star belt may prove extremely useful in identifying the time left in conjunction with their neighbours. It strechs across the sky, horizon to horizon.

You then head east.

An hour passes before you feel something beneath the sands. Action?
