Roll for advantage
1-4, roll was 1.

Gaal'garot
The first thing you notice is the sweltering heat. You appear to be in some sort of cave. Metal Pipes run across the walls, and the air is steamy, humid.

Behind you is a tunnel, and in front, more tunnels branching out. There are 3 paths.

Next action?
You went down the path to the intersection, then later move down the animal path from this post, passing others until you moved down a path without the pipes.

This was also on the left side, with the waterfall to your right.

You're at the other side of the room now, down a different tunnel.

Not to mention, these were set up to prevent you going down them, so you're stuck in the animal sections.

I don't understand it at all, but I'm not inclined to argue my point.

Nothing works against these kids. I tried everything. Well, everything except this next action of course.

I actually have a prediction about what is going to happen. I'll spoiler it in case you don't want that to influence your decision making.

There is something to be said, do not mess with kids. Their parents may have something to say about it.

Well, you're still around, though it will be a bit before you come to. If you haven't noticed, your forms can take hits for you.

Seriously, this is a warning to be careful, this world is dangerous to one with such weaknesses.

If you can't deal with this Siren, fighting them will kill you. Given its orbital, it may be a while.

A Light Introduction
Results
Gained Skill- Sonic Screech(5). So long as you are in your Vampiric Form, you can use this skill. Its more than capable of disorienting civilans, and can be dangerous to Drivers as well. Further Upgrade possible.

Blood Memories- Updated.
Processing Ether Data.

Ether Elements,
Fire- Fire is present in everything from the heat of the air, to a basic campfire. It is heat, basically.
Water- Water is present in clouds, as rain, and well, water itself.

Wind- Wind isn't actually air, but rather the forces in the Air. From a storm current, to waves, if it's especially windy, more Wind Ether is present.
Ice- Ice is the cold stillness. Ice, snow and cold are indications of a high presence of Ice Ether.

Lightning- Electricity, ions, sparks, and storms are all indicators of Lightning Ether. Negative or positive, it is quick to strike, but lingers.
Earth- You'd expect Earth Ether to be common and great on land, but it is usually balanced with the others. Nonetheless, a high concentration of Earth Ether is most often found in places with a high activity rate.

Darkness- Dark Ether is one of the rarest types. It is presrlent in Shadow and Nights. It's presence however is almost always accompanied by Light Ether.
Light- A near Mythical element, Light Ether is one of the strongest. It is also the rarest within Blades, and only 4 are known to date. Like Dark Ether in many ways, it is omnipresent. It is also deadly, containing the very Concept of Light.{To you, and quite a few others}

Fire vs Water
An interesting fact is that these elements always deal more damage to each other. Each of the Element Duos are like this. Technically, having Water Ether in your system makes Fire attacks worse for you. But the same applies when fighting Fire Drivers. This Element interaction is also resistant to this rule though, so you can survive more damage of that nature as well. Its a bit confusing, but that's what the info says. This blood isn't all that focused on intricacies like that.

Same element interaction
It seems that Water vs Water just leads to less damage all around. Useful for hunting at least. And All Elements react regularly against the others, other than it's Duo Opposite.

Siren
Mythological, the Servant of the Aegis, and a Relic of Morytha. It is seen as a Holy Symbol by some, and rains Destruction from on high.
Only a select few have access to it,
No more knowledge on it from this blood.

Light Blades known-(For Survival)
The Aegis: Most commonly based in Letheria, in the village of Fonsett. She is known by the Green Glow of her Core. She also has a Fire Blade sister.
Info known to Mor Arddain.
This sister and Mor Arddain's Gem, the Flamebringer, had a child. This path is the most common descent of the Siren control unit. As such, those two children you fought are not to be messed with.

Poppi: Artificial Blade~
A well known figure, artificial blades are a bit rare. Their element is determined by a certain part, and this Blade has been shown to be capable of wielding the Light Ether.
Thankfully, this is only due to the Aegis, and no other Artificial Blades have this option.

Archon:
A Unique Blade of the Urayain Princess, this Blade was born from a Core Crystal. There was a bit of a rush afterwards, as it was the first born from a regular core.

???- There is a Legend about another Blade spotted among the Sunken Ruins, but most deny it, and no proof has ever been found. It does not seem to have a Driver, and is Legend among Civilian Blades.

Rare Blades and Common Blades.
All Blades are born from a Core Crystal. Common Blades look rather similar, while Rare Blades have a unique appearance. On Average, the Rare Blades are stronger.

Artificial Blades:
These are oftentimes built by those who can not Resonate with a Core Crystal, and can initiate Affinity with their Creator. As Blades are now capable of creating Affinity with those people, it's rare to see one outside of Gormott, but they are extremely dangerous, customizable, and close with their Driver.

Blades Die when their Driver does. In addition, destroying their Core Crystal will also kill them. This is easier said than done though, and blades can heal from anything else. They also have some sort of Blood Analogue, so that's something.

Arterial Blood is the oxygenated stuff, that the heart pumps. Reason you stomach didn't burn too.
End Driver Data.

Ability Realized- Immortal Form:
Passive- Even if the form you transformed into is vaporized, so long as your Vampiric Form remains, you will not die.
Tied to Vampiric Immortality. Few second Grace time, but will reform as soon as safely possible.

Data from the Driver's Blood.
As for what happened here, you got hit with a Particle Beam. You've now been scattered quite a ways east. So you'll wake up in the desert night, under a rock in the middle of the desert.

To clarify, what is the difference between a skill and a ability?

My first guess is that the skill with a stat point allocation would be a perk for influence gained in this world: probably attained from notoriety and leaving behind a story that will not soon be forgotten.

And that the ability would be a unique skill connected to this world?

Skills are gained through monsters, events, and blades. They're basically special moves learned through blood memory that stick. Leveling them can be either simple, or hard. This one requires you hunt stronger bats, among other things.

They aren't tied to influence too much, and you'll keep it so long as it's strong enough.

The Ability is tied to the world though. Though if you gain enough power, you may be able to keep it.

... Its more an add-on to Vampiric Immortality.

Well, not immediately important, on to Turn 2!

The reason I ask is to determine if it should be added as a perk to my character sheet or not.
(Also as a reminder, you should notify me should such a perk be lost after being gained)

Sonic Screech can be added. And Immortal Form added to your Vampiric Immortality..

On another note. You are missing a very basic ability for that world. And getting it is kind of needed.

You need to designate the land as well as world.

That post sounds like Tantal though.

If you are referring to the portal being icy, that is a regular portal for Gilbert. Its how he entered Cat Heaven which I do not believe is a particularly cold place.
