I am 10000% certain that that's not actually how combat works. Every weapon FIRES, not necessarily once. Unless I missed something/something was changed in the OP? What part of the OP makes you think that each weapon can only fire once?

Can we even reroll Time? I don't remember seeing that in the rules, but if we can, thinking about it, it kind of does make sense to do so.

Reply #37 on the Core Thread, and the next turn is for all the revision and progress dice we have to do, so reducing the maximum amount of progress we need is a good idea

One potential issue with this vote reorganization, is that someone who doesn't wish to expend the extra die in design needs to vote on the sub-vote of designs they are not voting for.

So, is the Flashlight intended to be usable offensively at all, or is it purely a defensive system? Because, uh, if the enemy doesn't develop missiles, it'd be kinda useless, unless you expect it to be able to deflect/destroy rail/coilgun slugs (which I doubt will be easy). Even then, the enemy might be using energy weapons.

It's offensive as well as defense. It's mentioned in there somewhere, though offensive action requires a human to designate targets, while threat-interception is automatic.

Ah, right, I see it now. Still, I worry that using PD lasers offensively is not going to work out so well... unless you're using really big lasers for PD, in which case you're spending more energy than needed to shoot down incoming threats. Either way, you'd be better off with a specialised system.

Not really. Doing damage requires large amounts of power over almost any length of time, but shooting down projectiles simply requires vast amounts of power over short lengths of time. The system will work for both quite well, unless they're swamping us in missiles.

So if I understand it correctly, you're voting for the Fission Dust Drive, Whipple & Decoy Shielding, and the Flashlight Defensive Laser Array? There needs to be a tie breaker in the dice allocation for Whipple & Decoy shielding though.

Once that's solved I'll be ready to lock the votes and start the updates. And feedback in the core thread regarding the proposed resource system changes is still appreciated.
