[Doubloon-Seven]

A conical projectile rather than a spherical one. Since it actually fits the barrel, unlike a musket ball, it doesn't need to be rammed in as hard to keep it from falling out. Anyhow, our rifle is good, but it could be improved. Fox's idea for a lever-action gun might work but here's a lower tech one just in case.

Technology marches on, and so do our soldiers. To keep them marching, we create the Type 1 as a replacement for the Thoth Mk. 1. The primary change comes with the fact that the rifle is breach-loading. This is accomplished with a brass cartridge stuffed with volatiles and a pointed bullet. Loading consists of pushing the round down into a groove set into the breachblock, wherepon the breach will depress and allow the cartridge to be pushed forward into the firing chamber. The block will rise back up under spring pressure and hold in place. A hammer cocked back, much like the ones on our current gun, will be the firing action, though instead of flying sparks into a pan, it will depress a pin that rams forward into the back of the cartridge to ignite the volatiles placed there. To eject the round after firing, the trigger guard can be forced forward to at once drop the breach block and eject the cartridge.

 Specifically, a minie ball is one of a number of designs of conical projectiles designed to be loaded in rifled muzzleloaders, allowing for firearms with the range(and some of the accuracy) of a rifle and the speed of loading equal to that of a musket. A technology totally obsolete after development of mass-producible military breachloaders and top-tier cutting edge prior to them.

Remember to rifle the chamber with those grooves. It's one of our improvements from before.

Type 1 Rifle 'Baal', Hard (4+2-1) Average
The Type 1 Rifle 'Baal' is a major leap forward to getting something similar to what the rest of the world has, and certainty is better than what the Karikhitan's have currently. It is loaded through a breach unlike the older Thoth or the Kari's own rifle and is faster to fire than both and more accurate than the former, especially at longer ranges. However it should be noted that as of this moment none of the additions the older rifle has are properly compatible with the Baal which all things considered, due to its design isn't much of an issue, other than perhaps the cleaning kits, but it should do just fine. Over all, the gun is a major improvement and while possibly considered outdated in the rest of the more modern world, isn't obsolete and is something some of the nations in the world would actually probably use for their military and that alone is enough for at least some praise. -Costs 1 ore, Cheap

The Marksmanship kit is a set of four items, all of significance to anyone hoping to hit their target. Before we can move onto that, however, we must mention that the Type 1 has been fitted with mounting lugs. Firstly, there is a ladder sight, on which iron sights may move forwards & back to allow for accuracy in a variety of ranges. The second is a telescopic sight utilizing magnification lenses for longer ranges. Third is a bottle of cleaning fluid and a wipe, for keeping the assembly smooth and functional. Fourthly, a leather sheathe strapped to the back keeps the weapon away from muck. As an aesthetic choice, the frontal sight is resemble an ankh, and the emblem of Baal, a thunderbolt, is to be pressed into the stocks.

However it should be noted that as of this moment none of the additions the older rifle has are properly compatible with the Baal which all things considered, due to its design isn't much of an issue, other than perhaps the cleaning kits, but it should do just fine.

When I wrote that I meant things like the cleaning kit, gun sheath, screwed on sights ect. It is rifled.
