AttributesThree attributes apply to anyone of significance in the universe:
- Might: Omnipotence: Brute strength, divine power, fortitude
- Light: Omnipresence: Resilience, appeal, willpower
- Sight: Omniscience: Perception, agility, insight, dexterity
TitansYou!
If you're not an Overtitan yourself...
- ...but want to be one, arm yourself and challenge your least favorite one
- ...but need the protection and aren't already a vassal, ask to become a vassal of your favorite Overtitan
- ...and don't care, be vigilant!
OvertitansThere are always exactly three (3) Overtitans: The Overtitan of
Light, the Overtitan of
Might, and the Overtitan of
Sight. These three lucky divinities are rewarded with a 6E income instead of a 2E income on top of a nice bonus to the Overtitan's specialty. Everyone else is understandably jealous about this honor, and every Overtitan's worst fear is several gods working in concert to knock them down.
Should there be more than one contender for an unoccupied Overtitan position, the next bearer of the title will be decided in a
Brawl in a temporary Site. Surely this can't possibly escalate, nope nope! The challengers may opt to come to an agreement instead of potentially wrecking the world, but where's the fun in that?
List of things Overtitans must do to defend their title:
- Always come to the aid of vassal titans/gods/powerful entities under their protection. Failure to aid vassals results in immediate loss of the title.
- Fight off all challengers to the title. Failure to fight off a challenge in a timely manner results in immediate loss of the title to the challenger.
- Never swear fealty to a fellow Overtitan or worse, a regular titan. To do so is to renounce the title.
- Do things visibly. If more than a third of an Overtitan's actions in a week are secret or hidden, the title is put up for contest as usual. This is what vassals are for anyway
- Do things. If more than a third of an Overtitan's Essence in a week goes unspent, the Overtitan loses the title.
These should be enough, but if the mantle of Overtitan isn't being threatened enough, your fickle GM will step in to make sure the position is even more demanding than it already is.
DestiniesThree mysteeeeeEEEEeeerious beings in a cave at the edge of the universe who tirelessly weave a tapestry recording the happenings of the world. They hold strange powers unknown even to the powerful titans; only the mightiest of heroes seem to be able to resist their works. This intrigues them greatly.
- Arial, Destiny of the Weird Dawn: Presides over beginnings and births. Clothed in black. Known for her joviality, wit, and width.
- Verdana, Destiny of the Word Day: Presides over fortune, lives, and deeds. Clothed in red. Known for her dexterity and perceptiveness.
- Lucida, Destiny of the Should Dusk: Presides over endings, deaths, and cycles. Clothed in white. Known for her strength and unnerving aura and harsh decrees.
If their tapestry starts lagging behind the relentless pulse of the universe, they may be forced to intervene, which is seldom a pleasant affair.
