I'll be running an RPG, but I want it to be something that you want to play. Here's how I've decided to do that:
 -The first 4 people who join are guaranteed a spot, and can suggest anything for the game (mechanics, theme, setting). I'll try to include as much of that as possible.
 -People who join later are added to the waitlist, but can still suggest things for the game. If it sounds neat and doesn't clash with what the first 4 said, I'll add it too.
 -Any mechanics that haven't already been determined by the above, I'll add myself. I have a few ideas floating around, and I want to try them out.

No real restrictions on the suggestions, except that they have to keep it an RPG (of course). Also, I have to finish something up before I run the game, but I'll be putting the mechanics together in my spare time, so that it'll be ready when my other project is finished.

Level-ups will be done in the Undead Hunt style; that is, starts at two kills (or whatever the accomplishments will be, so maybe "catnip pieces acquired"), increases by 2 [requirement] each level, and you get to create your own new ability each time you level up.

Here's what I was thinking: What if it's kind of sci-fi. The cats only have basic tools, but have learned to use the "artifacts" (read: cat toys) the mysterious race of Huemins left behind. Somehow those artifacts give them bonuses to stuff, and no one questions it.

Considering that some of the abilities I got for myself in Undead Hunt involved me gradually becoming a dragon, I think this is implicit in the level-up system.

EDIT: We also created sub-classes at level 4, which might be well-suited to this idea. They provided numerous passive skills.
You could make your normal level-up things passive skills, too, but the subclass parts are always passives.

What if the abilities/evolutions you get as you leveled up are unlocked by what you killed/how you leveled up?
