Since I don’t really have anything better to do, try to craft some obsidian shurikens.
Spoiler: Harm (click to show/hide)
[13]
You craft a bunch of them. Like...a whole frigging stack. 50 or so you think. Really just went into a stone knapping frenzy. And these things are pretty damn sharp and well balanced too.

Apparently "Knapping" is such an obscure term that my spell check thinks I'm misspelling "napping" or "Snapping". I am doing neither, thank you very much.

Attempt to locate Doctor Drett while keeping my wounds closed  as much as possible.

"DRETT! HELP. I SHREDDED ON MY GUITAR IN A VERY LITERAL SENSE!  DRETT?! WHERE IS EVERYONE?!"

You run around but it seems almost everyone is gone...

((The plural of shuriken is shuriken.))

Hmm. They're wearing leather clothing, complete with jagged tooth symbols that mark them as Members of that gang you've heard about. They've got a knife and a length of metal piping from what you can see. No threat as long as they don't take the person they're mugging hostage.
[10][9]
You sprint  straight in and are on them before they can even adequately appreciate whats going on. You don't bother with the Murakumo and instead use a running lariat for the first man and a swift hammer blow to the top of the head for the second. Within a few moments both muggers are laying unconscious at your feet and the mugging victim is just sort of staring at you with blank lack of comprehension.

Pick up both muggers by their necks, then ask the troubled citizen to point Nyw in the direction of the nearest office of law enforcement, or whatever similar establishments there are.  If they do so, go bring the muggers to the place; otherwise, wander around a bit and look for some kind of police.  If that search is a failure too, bring the muggers back to our team's base, tie them up, and once they wake up, start lecturing them on why crime and violence is a very bad idea.

Oh, and relieve them of their weapons.  Nyw will hand them in as evidence if the muggers get turned in, or just put them in his harness if he sets to lecturing.

You stoop down and pick the muggers up, holding them at arm's length while asking the mugging victim (Muggee?) for directions to the nearest law enforcement outpost. He quietly points  the way and offers a few mumbled instructions.  You bow your head for a moment before walking off in that direction. The police station is easy enough to find and Nyw carefully places the muggers on the desk, setting their weapons off to the side. He explains the situation as officers handcuff and drag the two men away. They thank Nyw and then, as he is about to leave, catch him and give him 100 Fathoms. One of the muggers had a bounty out on him, but only if caught alive.

Be alert. Are any of the Antediluvian moving towards our position? Do any of them look hostile or aggressive?

Spoiler: Kalagony (click to show/hide)

They occasionally look up at the hole in the wall it what might be described as mild confusion, but so far none of them have done anything outwardly threatening.

((Jesus The minute I run one quick post because "Oh I might as well drop a turn for the weekend since I'm moving" we get three in four days ho-ly shit))

Notice the bleeding abomination after returning with my purchases (-25 fathoms). Fix him up.

If time allows, yeah, just use the junk we probably have in the warehouse to cobble together my pneumatic hypo-rifle.

Can I see how the Antediluvians are making things like lamps? Are they carrying them from somewhere? Are they making them out of rock? Making them appear out of thin air?

Can I see a path that would let me sneak through the Antediluvians (perhaps with the addition of throwing some rocks to distract them) to get close to the monster? Is climbing down there even possible? Or would going there by foot take too long?

If I could go there and it wouldn't be suicidal, experiment with very carefully exiting the hole. If nothing happens try carefully going down. If I see any tools I could easily steal, do so.

Just drive the bore back to base, I guess. If we can go around the path, do so, otherwise just quickly run through it and get to the other side as quickly as possible.

What are the stats on the Shurikens?

((Guys, I know exploration is part of the game, but could we possibly focus on getting back to base so we can reground ourselves and consider our next move as a team?))

The dog behind the man behind the beard.
Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Welp, Nyw will look over the wanted board for more bounties, since he's here already and has nothing better to do.  Ask if anyone has advice on where to look for said bounties, then go hunting.

Yeah, let's move on and come back when we have all of our meat shield friends with us.

Try to make a list of stuff we could use when we'll be exploring these ruins later on, try to get inspiration from previous explorations of Antediluvian ruins (looking for things specifically relevant for Antediluvian ruins, not general caving stuff).

Should we manage to get to the other side this turn, see about getting them to pay us for digging this starting tunnel and laying the new comms cable. Speaking of comms, can we talk to the rest of our team now?

((As Willy Wonka said,  FASTER!))

[8]
You bandage up the abomination as best you can. Really you just wrap his hands in gauze and call it a day. It will stop the bleeding.

[12]
You wipe the blood off your hands before getting down to work. After some careful assembly and some less careful assembly, you hold up the fruits of your labor, a brand new Pneumatic hypo-rifle! Just the thing for delivering high doses of whatever you want from long ranges! No more having to vaccinate people through time wasting appointments. Now you can just walk out into a crowd and make them all HEALTHY.

What are the stats on the Shurikens?

Welp, Nyw will look over the wanted board for more bounties, since he's here already and has nothing better to do.  Ask if anyone has advice on where to look for said bounties, then go hunting.

The wanted board gives you a list of about 40 people with varying bounties and varying bounty conditions. The highest bounty, 10,000 fathoms, is the leader of the iron teeth. From there it goes down through various enforcers, murders, thugs and ne'er-do-wells until ending on 50 fathom purse snatchers and wife beaters. Seeing as taking on the Entire syndicate in town might be a bit much for you, you decide to grab a poster for John the Knee breaker, an Iron Teeth enforcer. He's worth 1000 fathoms and is apparently in town. The poster wants him alive, which the police tell you is the main reason he hasn't been brought in yet. He's been nabbed a few times but always slipped away.

They give you a list of a few places he might be. There's a nearby flophouse that addicts use; apparently he goes there to collect debts pretty often.

For the sake of time and the team not being forever split and the less autonomous or driven people standing around with nothing to do, shall we just have the bore show up in Anvil? You can subtract fuel and money as needed, we'll handwave the rest.

The Antediluvians are carrying their stuff in from elsewhere, paris.

AsHul will take a well earned break and just chillax for a while. He'll be smugly self satisfied about it, and chillax in an offensive and irritating manner, waving his bandaged hand idly at the bore crew as they return to the warehouse.

While on the way to the base, meditate on possible methods to increase my lethality in combat. The Antediluvians seemed to be really strong, and I desire to someday become stronger than them.

Gather more information about the guard duty job. Where would we meet up her and where would we have to escort her to? Check if there are any decent ambush spots or gang territory between the two locations.

Go check out that Polyantha Ret person (preferably from afar). Do they look anything like that statue we encountered?

Well, if you're going to keep using martial arts, the best way would probably to find relics or powers that synchronize well with your abilities. Alternatively permanent modifications to your body or capacities using Diving. And finally, alternatively Alternatively, there might be some special martial arts techniques you could learn to make yourself increasingly deadly.

They do. Albeit the lady in that shop looks substantially less...alive.  She's skinny, pale, thin, and sitting in an odd way. You get the odd feeling of a giant spider wearing her skin.

Spoiler: Alex Wells (click to show/hide)
She's showing up in a few days, you meet her at the edge of town, she has to go to a specific hotel, and then to a specific building where she'll meet with some people. They also say she'll probably insist on looking around before the meeting. Its about a two day job all told. Difficult to prepare routes for, but it seems like at least the path from edge of town to the hotel is clear enough.
