Gonna try and get posts done ASAP to get things going so I might get kinda terse.
Aright. Get up.
Go find some paper and write down everything that happened to me "yesterday". Check over it. Wonder how I got here. Store the notes for later.
Take a look at this revolver that I've looted. Anything notable about its make? How high-quality are its parts? Take the gun apart, clean each component, then reassemble it.
Then figure out where Kara's gone and go there.
Name: Wiellste Gunsmithy
Description: A young Ethral, no taller than 4 feet. Her fur is unpatterned and a milky white. Usually wears a rather plain quilted brown silk cloak, and a polished copper mask with symmetrical, spiraling lines etched on the sides.
Goal: Wiellste is like many Ethral in that she seeks to gather knowledge about the world before all else. Though being an Ethral from Knot, her skills are largely more on the practical building side than the scholarly side. She isn't particularly invested in the teachings of the Tenebrous Church, but the idea of the spheres intrigues her, especially Balarim, with it's writings and technology.

Ok.
Alright.
Its a human model, bigger and clunkier than an Ethral make and no more powerful. They do their best, bless them, but they're just...limited. You strip and clean the weapon before reassembling it and following Kara.
As for the smelter, I want something small. The crucibles would preferably be able to be carried by one person. Really, I’m looking for more of a “glorified campfire”. It doesn’t need to be able to melt iron; silver, gold, copper, and lead are all I need to smelt with it. Also, if it isn’t assumed to have safety stuff (mask, gloves, apron, tongs) how much would those be?
Got the Info on Discord, so I’ll go ahead and buy the stuff for 45 fathoms. You said it runs on bore fuel, does it have to be installed on the bore? I’d prefer to put in the warehouse, but if it has to be on the bore, I’ll put it as close to a ground level exit as possible.
If I need help transporting it, I’ll ask the bigger people if they could help me out.
Also, I’m adding my share, minus the cleaver, to my sheet, if somebody wants to throw that up on the wiki.
Name: Harmony “Harm” Li
Description: Lean and broody looking. This woman has short black hair and is partially covered in interlocking black tattoos. She wears simple black clothes, with a knee-length Maggot Wool Coat overtop. She wears a mail shirt underneath her clothes.
Goal: Overall, Harm would like to find a place where refugees and travelers could seek refuge without dealing with the dogmatic influence of the church. Right now, though, she just wants to get away.

Ok. No, but you need some bore fuel. Get a fuel container or something. Jerry can.
You stick it in the warehouse. We'll ignore how you got it there. Unimportant. Hand cart whatever.
If Clate is okay with AsHul using the guitars he has made, practice with both teh mundane and the occult guitar. Do scales, then a simple melody (but not from my music book). Do the mundane guitar fuirst, then the occult one. also, I'll be doing this away from the group, either outside the warehouse but nearby, or in a corner of hte warehouse. Anyone who wants to listen in can.
If instead, Clate is unwilling to lend the guitars for practice until the sale is finalized, I will go into the room with my magnetized Fathom and Dive to Telazch.

You can play the guitar, it turns out. Can play it quiet well. You shred for a good 15 seconds until you end up snapping one of the guitar strings. Oops.
"Oh, hi Drett." Kara said with not as much enthusiasm as she'd like.
She stopped and waited for Drett to catch up. Once he was next to her, she started walking again, making sure she wasn't going too quickly.
"Don't worry, it's nothing. I just..."
She turned her head away.
"I got angry at Nyw. I felt he insulted me. I said we should tell people or story so they will spread it, giving usa little bit of Fame. He said what we did was nothing of note, nothing to be proud of. That there must have been something wrong with my life for me to consider what I have now an improvement. I knew if I stayed there I'd get too angry and I might do something stupid, so... I left."
Kara stops and looks down. She sighs.
"I guess I was shocked more than anything. I don't understand how he could say something so cruel. I thought honored dead were supposed to be better than that."
Drett nods, thankful Kara had slowed down. As she stops, he reaches an arm up to touch her remaining shoulder.
I have not dealt with Honored Dead much myself, I always gave them plenty of space back home. Nor anyone other than Ethral most of my life. This was my first journey out of the Eastern Archives.
The books there painted, ah, obtuse portraits of their character and I happen to agree with what I have seen. Not dull, by any means, but so one-tracked as to make dealing with them a great hassle, if not occasionally impossible. Especially - ah...
He waits a second and his antennae droop slightly. I apologize, I'm sure raw information does nothing for your sense of hurt. If it is any consolation, I was an avid reader of fiction and historical accounts of explorers and am looking forward to your retelling. I would, if you might allow, to record it and send it home, eventually, as proof of progress made and more light to cast upon the world we know.
Accept the relic mission. Sounds like it's the next one in the chute. Assume for brevity's sake I go shopping for medical supplies just beforehand.
How much for:
Hemostatic powder or similar
Refill (?) for doctor's bag
Journal (Gotta keep buggy records for GBP and should have thought of this earlier)
The rest of my fathoms will go back to the team fund after these purchases and I will make the wiki edits. Like a good moth.
Is there an Ethral archive in this city?
Zeolite powder is 3 fathoms for a bag and it can be used to stop bleeding.
It will run out as the result of a bad roll at some point but hasn't yet.
10 fathoms. Vellum is expensive.
Okie dokie.
Not an archive, but the Archive has teams out in the world gathering information and material constantly so there's probably some sort of low key warehouse or storeroom where they keep everything before sending it back in shipments.

Name: Clate
Race: Shluck
Description: Being a Shluck, Clate is rarely seen outside of his environmental suit. Inside, he is the standard albino mollusk, with his only true defining characteristic being the alternating white/borwn pattern of his beak, much like on a nautilus shell. His environmental suit and exoskeltons are full of scuff marks and small blemishes from work, but the knowledgable observer will notice that it is mechanically kept in tip-top shape. He wears a toolbelt and a satchel to store his tools and other knickknacks, and has a blue cap perched on top of his helmet.

Medical Room | 200 | 170 | Should give our medics bonuses when they're trying to remove that bullet from your gut |
Weapon Storage/Lockers | 50 | 42.5 | Better than having your stuff lying around. Especially when that stuff is TNT. |
16 short range radios | 40 | 40 | Usefulness obvious. |
amplifier for ham radio | 20 | 17 | Should allow us to extend the range of our HAM Radio beyond our local area and deal with interference. Should also help extend the range of the handheld radios. |
small freight elevator | 150 | 127.5 | For loading anything we find. A bit under 2x2 metres capable of lifting a bit under 2000kg |
intercom system | 30 | 25.5 | So that Vikkan can yell at people and people can yell at Vikkan. Also connected to loudspeakers outside the bore. |
Total cost (with discount): 1357
That leaves us with just enough fathoms to fully refuel the bore if necessary. That plus the donations so many of you have generously made should leave us with enough funds for any emergency spending we need. However we could spend that extra money on something if you feel we really need it.

No. Also the Flames are made of Obsidian, not black steel. You could theoretically make more but you don't know how.
A silver chain with a piece of anodized black steel in the shape of a flame on the end. The Flame has a sort of “U” shape to the design, with with two unevenly sized peaks. The back edge of the large peak has been honed to a sharp edge, allowing the symbol to serve as a utility knife. (Cutting 3)
The rules doc says the black flame is made out of steel, not obsidian. If that is not the case, perhaps the document should be changed.
I don't know if they did or didn't and I ain't got time to check through here and OOC searching for it. Assume them bought and installed, if people have issues we can retcon.
You can't but nice try.
Goddamn it I thought it was steel but then people kept saying obsidian and I figured I just remembered wrong. What is made of obsidian then? Or does the description vary between some texts?
For bore upgrades: we should make sure everyone gets a radio, so we'll need more than 8 of them. Not sure if weapon storage is something that's gonna be used much but it's cheap so whatever. We should probably also get some spare fuel already (assuming fuel storage isn't expensive) just in case, we'll need more fuel in the future anyway and it's not like it'll spoil.
If we buy more bore fuel that the current max fuel, can we assume it'll be kept around in jerrycans or something, or do we need to explicitly buy some fuel storage containers or something? If yes, how much for a container that can hold 50 bore fuel?
Could I get help with identifying my beaker artifact from someone in town, perhaps in exchange for some payment?
How do towns and cities communicate with each other? Do they have landlines or something set up for rapid communication, or do they need to send messengers all the time?
Adding the fathoms to sheet, edited wiki accordingly.
Adam approached Vikkan and saw that the moustachio'd man had just been asleep.
"Oh, sorry, I hope I didn't wake you just now? I had something to ask you, if you have a moment."
Name: Adam Blavatsky Darvaza
Description: A young man of slightly pale complexion and eternal 9 o’clock shadow, he was raised in a small village. While the village priest and passing mystics droned with endless sermons of the Church and their teachings, what had always captivated young Adam’s attention more were the stories of his Granny.
Old stories of the world as it once was, before people were forced to flee to the caves and crannies of this damp hell. Of warm days where pleasant green plants tickled your feet as you walked through them and a cool breeze blew through your hair. Where food was plentiful, nature was benign and endless vistas reached as far as they eye could see.
Adam was nominally a card-carrying member of the church, though he mostly did it for the connections and perks that brought. They were powerful and had ancient lore, all things he would need to fulfill his true heart’s desire: to return to the surface, vanquish the madness that tainted their homeland and reconquer paradise.
Goal: Plunge the secrets of the depths below to find an answer to the horrors above.

A weathered flag-holder is masterfully clinched to the back of her torso, with its flag only in shreds and tatters, although it is gilded with a trim.
Goal: Intrigued by the doctrine of the Tenebrous Church, her goal is to discover what lies on the surface--to investigate in their own terms what lies beyond, and to ensure that their companions do not meet as harsh an end as is preached.
