Ahem. I've had to explain this before with two aspects of the game:
1) there is no magic, weapon, artifact, etc that is either "HOLY" or "UNHOLY." This is because this game world has a variety of gods, powers, entities, and ME. What is holy to one is unholy to another. so for such things, the being to which an object is holy or unholy matters. A Holy (to LORD PUSTULE) scythe of Making Blisters is just as holy as a Holy (to Nurse Kindness and Healing) cloth of Fixing Boo Boos.

2) there is no such thing as 'Magic resistance." that's like saying you are 'universe resistant" which would make it rather hard to interact with the game world. Magic is like Holiness: varied, dependent on character, situation, and intention, and fickle.

Seeing as people want to get a move on I'll cut my time investigating and cut straight to the point, besides I believe well I have already gotten what I need to know from discussing things with Ozzy on discord.

Hmm.  So do I get to respec with respect to that specialization, then?  I was under the impression that it wouldn't have a large effect, but if there's literally no such thing it doesn't seem right to be stuck with it.

This seems like a potentially significant event in the history of Omega here, so I'm gonna roll out some things and see what happens. You guys might suddenly be a bit too busy to go on the next mission I have in development.

How is the heart connected to the diffrent members of Omega legion and to the brands, see how one can interact with the brands and the strands that connect them (referring to the strands described when vlad first became undead

If people are in a rush towards the next mission then I think it's time to quicken the pace, to absorb some energy from the heart to keep Vlad up and running for a long while (say a few decades) and perhaps one of the creatures that repair it if it gets close but otherwise time to snip the strings that bind all the prisoners and the brands to it and release them from the confines of Omega.

It is time to shut down the heart.

"Might be rushing things a bit here, but for all the damage, for all the harm this organization has done. For enslaving me and consuming all I was to be turned into another abominable tool for spreading the tyranny and corruption of the Queen, consuming entire planes and planets for the grinding advance for the omega legion. I tear it down and release us all from the service of the omega legion! Let us be free!

I think if I survive the upcoming events I'll make a trip home and say hello."

(1) you absorb some energy from the heart, but is flows out of you like water through a sieve, and activates your hunger counter. You are at 80/100.

(6) you take one of the antlike cyborgs and eat it whole. Unlike normal when you eat something, you do not gain the traits of the thing. Instead, tuiny ant cyborgs burst out of your skin and begin remaking you- destroying and repairing in equal measures.

(6) oh. I better roll a few more bits. this could be big. (2) okay, looks like the effects are gonna be limited. (6) okay.
Here's what those three rolls mean: Vlad has seen threads that connect Omega's prisoners to Omega itself. He is soewhat aware of them through his own cursed nature as an Omega generated Ghoul. He peers into that darkness at the center of Omega, discovering first that the Heart of Omega is not the same as the Heart of Lathal - the mechanicorganic structure he is standing upon at the moment.

The heart of Omega is a black tangle of deep interwoven connections, bindings, contracts, and life forces. the Heart of Lathal is bound to that in a unique way, but is not what fuels and drives Omega. That first 6 is Vlad unwinding one strand in that mass of connections - a pretty big strand that has been bound tightly by Omega's webbed Heart. he springs it free from the overall mass. that 2 limits the effect to this one entity. Nothing else is unbound as a result of this act. that third 6 is the creature's reaction to being so unleashed. Congratulations, Vlad, you've released one of Omega's CAPTIVES.

Lemme roll to see where it claws its way out to. (6) The Heart, of course. The Heart Chamber suddenly fills with a noxious, sickly green haze. Vlad can see no further than ten feet in front of him, but he can feel a presence. He can sense it's effect on the Heart CHamber as tubes are smashed and machinery topples. A piercing, gurgling keen assaults Vlad's earholes, drilling into his brain.  The Omega Brand lights up on Vlad like Fire. Similar, but much more ptent lines light up below Vlad's feet, and shine through the green murk from various directions and distances.

As for the rest of you: Your Omega Brands also light up in dull, aching red. You feel a strong urge to head inward, to the Heart. It feels like all the adrenaline or whatever passes for a fight or flight trigger mechanism in your being's soul is activated all at once. DANGER DANGER DANGER it shouts, urging you to take action or to flee to the furthest ends of the universe to die. You are not alone in this feeling. That big-ass treething that Bruford sparred with is moving, tearing a hole into the base of hte cliff in it's haste to go Core-ward. Other Omega entities are likewise arming for battle.

Fall back from the crashing machinery and destruction , if the entity starts to take direct hostile action against Vlad use the second absorb rune to absorb it otherwise start cutting more strings, preferably smaller ones, it should be easier to cut more of those in the same amount of time as a big one. And if it is possible to identify where each string attaches to, then try to free Bruford and Gwyn

My fight/flight mechanism / a need / warning from the core of my being? That... sounds to me like an order given by my wielder. I HAVE to obey those. Welp.
Run (do not walk) where I've been commanded to go, and keep my eyes open for potential temporary wielders as I get close. It's disgusting, but I might need to be wielded by someone other than the person bearing my control crystal if they don't arrive right away.

”Whoa. This is a surprise.” I better go find Gwyn and head for the core or whatever it is I’m being urged to reach.

Go down, then.  I'm quite fast, so look around for an open route downwards.  Smash a clear path if there are things in my way.  If no such route exists, help dig.

Bruford grabs his axe and follows the big treething towards the core.

Lessee. Roll to see if the creature takes direct hostile action: (2) no. Guess you are free to try to untangle Omega's inner workings and unleash the damned upon the world at large.

Finding specific strings roll: (6) You can tell t a touch which string is which. There are a lot of them. you are currently touching a dozen or more. The thoughts and desires of each entity flows into you in a weird feedback effect. Will roll to maintain your focus and awareness and such: (5) still you, still on task. Roll to unbind: (6) good work, you've made this encounter much worse. You've unbound half a dozen lesser Omegas. Two of them are completely released from the bindings. One of them is quickly rewound int the bindings. The other three die in agony, fading to nothingness.

Hunger meter is now maxed. You are starving. You will not survive this unless Omega order is restored (and you play an active part in doing so) or you free yourself completely and somehow manage to find a source of life for yourself that is not Omega.

everypne except spaz:

You drop together into the Chamber of the Heart. It is a large, spherical room at the center of which is a building sized piece of technorganic machinery, constantly being fed buy conveyors, tubes, pipes, conduits, and drones, and constantly outputting energy, fluids, some kind of hive creature, and various other things. The room is ordinarily fairly bright and busy. at the moment, about a third of the room - the third you drop into, is  thick with green haze. Dark tentacles seem to lash about within the haze, and a dozen points of light flicker, pulse, and strobe within. The air is nauseating to breathe. Kongor and naturegirl's characters feel physically ill from the air. The constructs feel sticky and gross. Bruford feels no effect, but the being they are facing is bigger than him - the noxious fumes envelop even Bruford completely. (4) Freddie's scales shimmer a bit and seem to soften and ooze a viscous coating.

You guys are on a platform about fifty feet up from the heart. The entity is directly on the side of the heart, but it seems to be climbing upward. You also see several other groups of Omegas drop into the room at various positions. THe bigass treething is with you, and it is muttering or chanting or crying.
