Turn Three
or
Let's all go to the -holy hell what in the Seven Spheres is THAT?
Also, check the bottom of the turn for the current state of affairs. Bottom of a turn is where I usually put information regarding multiple characters, so always check the bottom of the posts to see what's going on.
I'm clearly too big to continue the way everyone else went, so I return to Omega and request another way to access the target or a transportation method.
Gonna try to save you guys a round of wandering about:
the archway on the map is the tunnel entrance in Omega.
The tunnel leads from Omega to your current location.
From your current location the target is either:
a) up through the ceiling and then five blocks.
or
b) back to Omega, up a side trail. through a door in a tall wall, and ten blocks out.
You can assume that you know this, because I said it as a matter of public information in-thread. that is, it has officially become IC information at this point. I'll give you the option of retconning this action if you want. Otherwise, you march back to Omega and ask for another route, to which you get no response, since everyone who could answer you is currently busy dealing with the escaped convict crisis.
wait for metal slowpoke to show up before asking for another way to reach the target
You get kicked in the shin by a skinless ghoul. If you follow the Ghoul, you're with the rest of the party. Read their turn to continue. If you wait here, you are alone in the street. You do think the party is going in the right direction though.
Head towards the police, kicking anyone who refuses to follow in the shins
"Follow me, the guard force here ought to have something to at least help us...oh and do be on the look out for anything useful."
You kick the gorilla in the shin. It's a curious feeling - your hard bony skinless toes against his hard bony, furred shin. He furrows his gorilla brow at you momentarily.
You head off toward the noise.
Follow the shin-kicker
I don't remember what your character is in the slightest. You follow the ghoul.
That sounds promising. Head towards the whistling sound. Don't run, but don't dawdle either.
Alright, you head toward the sounds in the otherwise oddly still city.
FFS I rolled a 1 for stamina so I'm going to take a breather until I'm refreshed again. You seem to accuse me of sleeping on the job a lot but I'm not sure what you expect me to do here, on top of the wall, completely tired out. And no, I'm not going to quaff a 3 coin potion before anyone's even met the target.
Alright, alright, my apologies. Consider yourself refreshed. Sheesh. I didn't expect you to take a long winter's nap for it, this time.
Does anything feel odd when I just move my eyes around? Or when I open and close my mouth? And can I smell okay?
All of those feel normal. If you open your mouth particularly wide, stretching the jaw, you feel a humming sensation along your chest. Maybe that's the muscles tightening?
So, Vladen, [tricmagic's character],[Angry's character], Clunkers, and possibly Kongor turn down another thoroughfare into the Tradesmens' Quarter. {Even Buford is and is not there, until the Quantuum Wavefront collapses and he resolves form several potential states into one real state.}
Silent shops line the street, shuttered, and in some cases, boarded up. You pass an alley, in which you hear some sobbing. You don't investigate however, because ahead, you hear some shlorpping, and the sound of hte police whistles grows louder and more frantic as you go, until the sound stops. Ahead, there are signs of destruction - overturned carts, some smoke rising in black plumes, rubble in the street. You hasten down the street (but not too quickly - I saw that, Pan) and are about to pass a side street that apparently has been sealed off by a building's collapse, when the rubble moves suddenly, flopping forward smoothly and organicly, instead of in blocky or chunky fashion such as a pile of building debris normally would. Your perspective changes, and you collectively step back, as what you thought was rubble shows itself for what it is - a large, fleshy mass. It is some kind of appendage, but whether arm, leg, tentacle, headless neck, or other is hard to say. It tapers down fro ma mass that is two stories tall, to a longish portion a mere six or seven feet wide and fifteen or so long, to it's end which is covered in rubble. the Mass of flesh seems to have been punctured by the collapsing building, as various bits - window frames, a blue door, dozens of roof shingles - all stick out at odd angles from the surface. Further in, and higher up, you see what appears to be a head ... no, two, three, four heads, all attached at different angles and facing in different directions, and of differing sizes.
"Understated Observation: we may have found our target." Clunkers brassy voice proclaims tonelessly.
