turn around and walk away. Ignore the dog. Ignore the ghost. Ponder name instead.

You turn around and run away! Some latent thought attempts to arise amidst the disorder, but you are far too dazed for it. This entire situation is... it's a bloody dream, of course! You keep running, desperate to wake up, still horrified despite your newfound awareness. As you reach the room where you had started off, you stumble on something and fall flat on the ground. One last bolt of terror runs up your spine as you feel doom impending...


You wake up, welcomed by the torn wallpaper on the ceiling, behind which hide the musty walls. The only illumination in this room is provided by a weak light, filtering through your red, faux linen curtains, decorated with floral patterns. Your festering closet is missing one of its two doors. Your desk lacks a chair, and most of the paint on it is gone. There's a wooden door adjacent to your bed.
Your bed has been unmade for a few years. There's a nightstand next to it, on which you placed a Dream Diary. Some recurring dreams have been tormenting you for a long while, so you decided to write down whatever you see in them. Generally, as soon as a dream begins you already know it's a dream (that last one was a rare exception), but you can't control yourself. So you've decided to write down whatever you see in the oneiric realm, thinking that perhaps it can help. Dream Diary updated.

It looks like a fairy has set up shop in the middle of your room, her wares laid on a sapphire-colored mat.

The Castle Dream

You spawn in a castle.
The atmosphere is generally dark and gloomy.
You can't seem to open your mouth.
The walls are made of rock blocks.
First room:
Full of stuff you can't quite identify.
Tall man stands by you. Looking at him is disturbing.
The man makes a gesture and a dog bolts out of the room. The dog may or may not appear in that moment. You feel compelled to run after it.
Kitchen:
Full of ebony tables and chairs, probably.
Small room:
There's a faint, grey light.
The dog runs into a closet, and a ghost appears out of it. The ghost terrifies you.

Afterwards, you retrace your steps, reaching the first room, where you trip over. The dream ends there, and the last moments are the most chilling.

You get up and approach the fairy with vicious intentions, perhaps brought on by your sick past.  But as you get close enough to see her face, you are struck by a wave of regret: you couldn't possibly harm this creature, for she is terribly similar to your mother. The fairy curiously looks at your pale face and creased eyebrows.

You decide to buy some Lemon Juice, as if to make up for what you didn't do, and the fairy thanks you in a mellifluous tone. You place the glass of juice on your nightstand, write a few words in your diary and go back to bed. You feel very drowsy...
