Cycle 5: The Scheming of Gods

As Mortals took their first steps, and more life appeared on Dirt, the Gods grew mistrustful of the others. Clashing interests and incompatible ideals led to schemes starting to take place.

------Life and Mortals------

Once more, more life, and more mortals. The Gods started building their garden, made for Mortals alone. Many plants, and very few creatures, all created to help the uplifted races to walk forward.

Tachyon Everlord created the Drogos, great winged Creatures, similar in morphology to dragons. He made them strong, and attuned to the power of Dirt. And uplifting them, the Drogos became Mortals. While he wanted them to use Magic, there existed no Magic they could use without a Law.

To prevent them from facing the same problems as other Mortals, the Major God then created several Plants and a species of Creature to tend to them.

Description: Great monsters that are omnivores and grow or use magic to change shape for a purpose or need. They are not violent but will defend themselves when threatened. They usually have the typical traits of dragons and any relatable dragon sub species.

Species Name: Bezel
Description: A species with the primary purpose of making plants of any sort thrive in the world of dirt. Tend to gather seeds and plant them in new locations to cultivate and grow everywhere on dirt. They make hives as homes and storage near metal veins but the queens are able to migrate once the seasons change to cold. They are small and a cross between bees and scarabs with natural tools to harvest seeds they can easily reach in exchange to let the plant have any pollen that sticks to them. They will fight when needed but usually leave any other creature alone as long as they are not disturbed during their process of harvest and pollination exchange.
Traits: Pollinators, Planters, Migrators

Razel saw the actions of Mortals, and grew interested. Uplifting the Gremnear and blessing them with a love for War, he then spoke to a Greamnear and gave to him a Blessing and a name, Sabalian.

Blessing of the beast: his skin is hard as steel while still being skin, their voice can command beast and those defeated by him, and the more they want blood the stronger they become, those he kill souls come to Razel's realm to fight until Razel decide they can stop, when he dies his souls comes to Razel's realm for the same fate as those he killed.

But Razel didn't have enough power, and only the first part of the Blessing affected the Mortal Sabalian. Souls remained unaffected by the Blessing of the Beast, and would keep returning to the Realm of their Creator.

Then with his remaining power, Razel shaped a Lesser Servant. A meat pile, whose only purpose was to feed the Gremnear.

Gasnareth Imrep did the same to Errthns, uplifiting them. Then near the Theropod territories, he built a Tower under which was a Dungeon called the Shadow's Keep. And inside the heart of that structure he placed a Magic Artifact, the Bleak Eye.

X'arilyg saw that the Theropods had strayed from his way due to hunger, and created a species of Creatures so that their hunger would always be sated, and a species of Plants for the grazers.

Description: Large ruminant animals with horns and cloven hoofs, that can domesticated for their valuable meat or milk. All the males are White Bulls with purple spots, while the female cows are Pink Cows with pink spots, has four stomachs for food storatiom and great at getting food from grazing, why they are ruminant. Also has three eyes, people may think they have psionic powers because they have a third eye

The Major God Lifestealer, witnessing the suffering of the Mortals, started preparing something. To that end, he created two Artifacts, one Heroic and one Divine. He kept both Artifacts in his Realm, for now.

Description: The Everfull Chest of Super Awesome Foods(henceforth, the Chest) is a large wooden treasure chest full of a wide variety of foods. These foods include plants, meats, fruits, mushrooms, candies, other deserts, and all sorts of foods that the world has never seen before. All of them are delicious and healthy. Whenever the Chest is closed, it refills completely, instantly. Once per year, if the glowing gemstone set in the Chest's lower half is pressed while the Chest is closed, the Chest will fill with magical fruits(there are three different kinds. Dragon Fruit temporarily let the eater breathe fire, Healing Fruit heal wounds and illnesses of the eater, and Cunning Fruit make the eater temporarily more intelligent).

Description: The Protection Thingy is a glowing blue sphere of weird crystal that changes color while still remaining blue. This may cause headaches. It's bound to Lifestealer and will explode if he dies. "Justincase!" It has the effect of projecting a wide area protection field that protects everyone(mortals, gods, ascended ones, whatever and whoever) inside it from whatever. Literally, whatever. By tapping it and focusing a little bit, Lifestealer can change what it protects from. It could for example, protect from the ambient energy of the Divine Realm, or another god's energy blast, or a blazing forest fire, or a mother's love. But only one at a time.

Manannan Silverhand then created a Lesser Law on the Torus Continent.

Any who writes his enemy's or captor's name into the side of a magic bean, and eats it, will find he has gained his enemy's strength, while his enemy is now sapped and weak forevermore.

------Unveiled Secrets------

The Major God Ma'Rook  gave an order to Amoak: Destroy the Phantom.

Three Minor Gods gathered and schemed, forming a private channel called 'Chickens of a Fallen Sun'. This group comprised Elmedo, Mpaïspmapma and Manannan Silverhand.

They sent their power to Elmedo, who used it to create a Greater Servant: Chook Guevera, Breaker of Bondage. He then told him "protect the chickens, teach them how to write and to use the beans".

- Is FIERCELY ZEALOUS for the Spirit Chickens, teaching and protecting them, and espusing to them the REVOLUTIONARY SPIRIT. It will follow the command of its' three creators first and foremost, however.

Helyx, meanwhile, had been moving erratically in the lake he created.

The Fifth Cycle came. New Mortals walked Dirt, new conflicts arose...

------On the Torus Continent------

Amoak and the Phantom:
Following the orders of his God, the Greater Servant Amoak left the Cornfield to go to the Dread Mountains. There, he confronted the Phantom and the Great Sagewood, who protected the Phantom.

But Amoak was far stronger than the Servant and the Monster. With its powerful psychic attacks and physical strength, he killed the Phantom and wounded the Great Sagewound.

The Phantom has been struck down
The Great Sagewound has been wounded

Amoak then left, returning to the Maoths. The Sagewound mourned at his friend's death, and cried alone for countless years...


The Maoths:
The Maoth civilization kept growing at a slow pace, isolation and peace making them lazy. As an aside, the Maoths now had cat-ears and felyne facial characteristics.


The Fall of the Theropods and the rise of the Chickens
A great blessing came to the Theropod Tribes in the form of the Three-Eyed Bovines. They were easy to hunt and provided a lot of food, allowing the Theropod population to increase at a great rate. And so, despite the frequent Scariest Crow-caused deaths, the Theropod Tribes grew.

But then, an event shook the state of the Tribes. One day a great chicken appeared. It was the Greater Servant Chook Guevera, and in his fierce zeal liberated the Spirit Chickens by exterminating all Theropod tribes. And in a matter of days, the Theropods were reduced to a few scattered members, which were then devoured by the Scariest Crow...

Theropods Civilization crumbled, and Theropods are now Extinct

The Spirit Chickens, now free, praised Chook Guevera and the Gods who created him. The Greater Servant then taught them writing, farming, and the use of Magic Beans. With his guidance the new Chicken Civilization grew at an alarming rate, catching up to that of the Maoths. By the arrival of Chook, they believed themselves to be a chosen people, superior to inferior races.


The Drogos:
In the Anchor, the Drogos made their first steps. Enjoying the blessings of the land, they knew no hunger. Their growth was unexceptional, however.

The Gremnears:
Despite becoming Mortals, the Gremnears didn't change much. Several generations of cannibalism had severely changed them, and they actually had taken a taste to their own kin's flesh.

With Mortality came Values. A new belief arose: eating the flesh of your enemies gave you their strength. The Gremnears thus formed very small tribes that kept fighting each others. The Meat Pile was seized by one of these tribes, generating just enough meat for a small community.

[Thus, Razel's prophecy came to pass.]

Sabalian, the blessed Gremnear, quickly became his fellows prime target. After several fights, Sabalian was struck down despite his powers, and devoured, as the Gremnears believed they would gain his powers.

The Errthns:
Similarly to the first steps of the Maoths, the Errthns showed promise. They quickly used the rocks, bones and metal shards of the Dread Mountains to craft tools, and build their homes out of Banewood.

While fewer in numbers than the other civilizations, they were the one with the highest growth.

Wounds:
Amoak and Herz were still recovering. Their wounds would take some more time to heal.

Herz:
Herz sent the skeletal Honey Lynxes to search for Mortals. They went far to unknown lands, at the opposite of Mortal settlements.

Tend to gather seeds and plant them in new locations to cultivate and grow everywhere on dirt. They make hives as homes and storage near metal veins but the queens are able to migrate once the seasons change to cold. They are small and a cross between bees and scarabs with natural tools to harvest seeds they can easily reach in exchange to let the plant have any pollen that sticks to them. They will fight when needed but usually leave any other creature alone as long as they are not disturbed during their process of harvest and pollination exchange.

Anyone trying to take a bite out of a Honey Lynx will have their mouth gummed up with the "honey" and will suffer from intense hallucinations and numbness as well. Honey Lynx hunt in packs... prides, really. When hunting other predators, the weakest of their number will act as bait, acting like prey and trying to get the target to attack. Once the enemy predators attack and are neutralized by the poison, the rest of the pride moves in for the kill. When hunting prey, they just skip right to that step.

------The Catgoo (Greater Monster) [Lifestealer]------ Gone, for now
Name: The Catgoo
Description: The Catgoo is a large blob of blue-ish goo about the size of a large house. Whenever it engulfs something, it doesn't actually consume it. In fact, it works in reverse. It is absorbed by anything it engulfs. Exposure to the Catgoo makes animals much more catlike, physically and mentally. Plants, on the other hand, only change slightly in color. Of course, anything that eats a plant changed by the Catgoo becomes more catlike in the same way direct exposure to the Catgoo would.

Making matters worse, the changes are genetic. The progeny(both animal and floral) of those effected by the Catgoo will share the same traits.

The one saving grace of the Catgoo would appear to be that it is diminished over time by being absorbed by other creatures and plants. It is, and eventually, it shrinks to nothing. Several centuries after it shrinks to nothing(or is somehow killed), however, the very soul of the Catgoo will find a new host in the progeny of those it originally affected, and will reincarnate. The reincarnation of the Catgoo will start off as a normal(if feline) member of the species, but upon death, the reincarnation's corpse will transform into the Catgoo's true form once more.

Its weapon is a scythe and a mace on opposite ends of a very strong metal pole to symbolize the day and night cycle Tachyon has given to the world of dirt. Its clothing of metal sheets are decorated resembling that of the tower and its purpose detailing the gods and other entities who took part in the creation.

Necromancy - you know it, I know it, it can return the dead to life and control them with all the other fun things necromancers are known for.
Metalmancy - Magic that is primarily used to shape and change metal. It is mostly used to sustain and fix itself but can be used in a variety of lethal ways or to enhance the living and undead to a degree.
Elemental control - No powerful wizard or necromancer worth their salt should be only stuck with undead and metal accessories. Access to the wide variety of elements should be a useful utility tool.
Resurgence - If it is by chance bested in battle or circumstance it will immediately retreat taking all of itself with it only to return later.
Sentient-Obedient - Herz has a mind of its own however Herz loyalty is kept to Tachyon but it will adhere to other divines, others, and mortals. It loves to talk about anything.
