"Arceriun tries to assist the others in evacuating, whatever is going on can only get worse the longer we remain in the city."

Tisreus didn't know what happened, and he didn't care much. His priority was to get out and establish a base for himself in the mountains. Things were going to get ugly as people fought for what was left, and he knew from his combat training that the best way to win a firefight was to fire the first shot. He didn't want to kill anyone, and there would be plenty of time to rebuild the ashes later. Tisreus slung his rifle over his shoulder and started off to the mountains, avoiding everyone. On the bright side, at least this was less dull than building...

"It is so much more convenient to use this language, even if I... well, you get the idea."

"Anyway, Tukay Dee runs away from the city in horror over the collapse of society."

Alright, got it.

So Arceriun is helping people escape the city, Tukay is just trying to save himself, Tisreus avoids everyone, and everyone is avoiding Acheron. Ok.

Going forward, Tisreus has a +1 bonus to stealth, Tukay has overshoot protection for escapes, Acheron has a +1 to intimidation, and Arceriun has +1 to common interaction.

The landscape seems to blur, before it shifts over to the mountains. There's a small encampment, where your characters all are. Off in the distance, you can see the still-burning ruins of the city you escaped from, as well as a vast maelstrom hovering above a nearby forest, which is currently being wracked with hail, lightning, and a drizzle of fire.

And so that brings us to a week later. You've all reached a relatively safe place in the mountains, though none of you have seen any people aside from each other in the past three days, and you've seen few other signs of animal life. You've got food for about two more days - four, if you really stretch it - but after that, you're not sure. You're going to have to figure something out, together.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you all kept track of your own character sheets. Alright?

Spoiler: Tisreus (click to show/hide)

I think someone should scavenge in the city for food, or better yet seeds. I volunteer since as the stealthiest one I'm the least likely to die.

Spoiler: Acheron (click to show/hide)
"Acheron instead tries to climb a tree and scout the area. He uses his ranger skills to try to track the animals that so suddenly disappeared." "He investigates the forest, trying to find in which direction the animals moved! It must be because there's more food in the direction they went!"

Spoiler: Arceriun (click to show/hide)
"Arceriun would use this moment of peace to read from his spellbook, and try to recall or puzzle out the meanings of any script or runes he had yet to learn fully. Supposedly they were to be taught to him with his graduation."

Just waiting on Astericks.

By the way, before I do the rolls: I’m thinking of using a 2d6 system rather than a 1d6 one. 2 and 12 would correspond to critical failure and overshooting respectively, 3 and 4 would be failure, 5 and 6 would be moderate failure, 7 would be just barely a success, 8 and 9 would be moderate success, 10 is a full success, and 11 is a critical success.
Does everyone think that’s good?

Spoiler: Tukay Dee (click to show/hide)

"Whoa! These text-boxes are so cool! Although it's strange how one can say them out loud. Anyway, Tukay will offer to help Tisreus scavenge in the city."

Alright, let's see...

Code: [Select]
Tisereus
-Stealth: 7+1=8
-Scavenging: 7
Tukay Dee:
-Stealth: 7
-Scavenging: 3

Acheron:
-Scouting/Looking: 8

Arceriun:
-Studying: 5+1=6

Huh. Those were some... exceptionally average rolls.

Tisreus and Tukay  both go out into the city to scavenge, staying unseen primarily because there isn't much around to see them. Tukay isn't able to find much of anything, but Tisreus manages to locate a couple tins of food. It's not much, but it should extend your rations for a day.

Arceriun, meanwhile, studies his hardest, but cannot make any of the spells in his spellbook work at all, let alone how they're supposed to. It occurs to him that the words and runes he has access to wouldn't have worked a few days ago; consulting his spellbook is unlikely to help him figure out how to do magic in this new Age.

Acheron, meanwhile, attempts to figure out where the animals went. They climb up the nearest tree, and look around.
Nothing. Or nearly nothing.
Oh, there are signs, certainly. Signs of panicked fleeing, mostly. And then other signs, that you can't place. Signs of something - multiple different types of something, in fact - but nothing you can recognize.
Then, out of the forest, walks an animal that you distinctly do not recognize, despite knowing the forests of this area inside and out.

Welcome to the Age of Discord. Things have changed.

Spoiler: Acheron (click to show/hide)
"Using two dices sounds good." "Acheron tries to investigate the creature more closely! What does it looks like? Is it hostile or peaceful?" "He ponders if the creature is edible. Then he investigates the signs of the fleeing animals and tries to deduce in which direction they went."

Assuming the food is OK quality.
Spoiler: Tisreus (click to show/hide)
"There is no-one here. Come, let us take all we can carry!"

Emboldened by the lack of resistance, Tisreus scavenges for more things. He prioritizes weapons and armour but will take anything of use or value.
