I am still unconvinced by the Epee, and would rather have any of the other modules instead.
With the Testudo, we will be able to survive their attacks until we clear out their fighter screen. This will either force them to retreat, or allow our Hornets to torpedo their cruisers. In the worst case that we are losing the fighter battle the armour will give us the durability we need to continue weathering sunbeams until we bore out. Best case, we kill their fighters and cruisers with only fighter casualties of our own. More likely case, we deal more fighter casualties than them, and our expeditions survive.
With the WMG, it gets a bit more spicy, but we could probably deal damage like for like with their sunbeam. This means we would effectively exchange cruisers, u til only one side has cruisers left.
The Epee is a guaranteed resource sink every time we use it, as I'm not convinced that we'll be able to repair it in the field. We will be pitting it against a fighter screen and an unknown amount of medium/small weapons on their cruiser, meanwhile it will still be blowing holes in our expeditions. Our cruisers will be just as impotent against theirs in this case, and will rely solely on a very limited number of hits from the Epee to save them.
