What's the point? Both will shatter upon impact and won't do much to increase the penetration, and from what I gather, both will put the plasma into a container (Quartz/crystal) and send it out with a coilgun. It's basically the same with the addition of a two-part liquid and I really don't get what it is trying to do.

The goal was simply to better define the bottling process. I also want to apply the organic radiation shielding to it from the reactor.

Advanced Synthetic Biology
[Time:5  Progress: 1 Cost: 4]
Everything is, in its own way, alive. A star is born from the base matter of the universe, flares to a bright youth, burns bright, grows old, and finally dies. A single particle can be traced from birth to death, a lifetime of energy and decay- analogous to the life that we know- safe for its ability to reproduce. Naturally, we aim to change that. Unfortunately, this sight is lofty, and we expect progress to be slow.

Advanced Synthetic Biology: 0/16 [1] | 25T + 150O + 50M + 50E +25S | Rushed 0 Times | Nothing Invested

Prototype
[Efficacy: 5]
Slow, however, is fine if the results are worthwhile. From this project we will gain both a much greater understanding of how to create synthetic materials from biological sources, and how synthetics may be wed to a biological matrix to produce results of striking luminance and genius. While there is no direct physical product, this should give us great experience in manipulating impossible biology for the future.

Advanced Synthetic Biology: A research project into the use and generation of synthetics in biological life. Provides design experience in related projects.

Bore Drive Organic Conversion
[Time: 5 Progress: 2 Cost: 3]
The conversion of the initial bore drive to be more in line with the rest of Liiran technology is a simple task, but one worthy of great focus- lest a moment of inattention spawn an hour of a grief.

Bore Drive Organic Conversion: 0/4 [2] | 10T + 100O + 100M +10S | Rushed 0 Times | Nothing Invested

Prototype
[Efficacy: 4]
The respective modifications are a cinch, and the first prototypical living bore drives are birthed. They still require synthetic materials to function, naturally, but their native integration into our technology reduces their power requirements and some of their resource costs.

Organic Bore Drive: | 100T 100O 25M 150E 25S | Capacity: -15 | Power: -85 | Speed 1, transports an equipped ship of up to Cruiser size |  A biological version of the bore drive, designed to be just another organ within a Liiran living ship. Native integration makes it slightly more power efficient and reduces the overall cost.

Evil Eye
[Time: 2 Progress: 3 Cost: 5]
It is with care that any Liir begins a project with 'Evil' in the name. However, there is a need for pain in this world- a terrible need that every soul wishes did not exist, but every rational mind must acknowledge.

Evil Eye: 0/7 [2] | 125O + 40M + 40E | Rushed 0 Times | Nothing Invested

Prototype
[Efficacy: 4]
The Evil Eye fulfills and exceeds expectations. In base utility it is a small but potent laser organ, easily directed and aimed via psionic manipulation and capable of either a fan discharge where cells are discharged in series, or a potent pulse discharge when all cells are fired immediately. The cells themselves regenerate their potential fairly swiftly, and their luminescence can by easily hidden when not in use. Their only real issue is that the generation of the laser beam requires a large investment of chemical energy.

Evil Eye: | 0T 90O 10M 30E 0S | Native to Small Mount | Capacity: -3 | Power: -8 | A biological organ capable firing a high-power pulse laser or firing a longer duration semi-continuous beam. Power hungry, but space efficient and exceptionally easy to aim via a psychic connection.

"Deamon Gaze"
The evil eye is a good weapon, and an even better base for future laser weaponry. The deamon Gaze project has been created for the purpose of making a bigger, stronger evil eye to be mounted upon larger combat lifeforms.
While it will be even more power hungry and larger, but the sheer output of that many firing organs is a terrifying thing. The deamons gaze will be a weapon mounted on larger ships, (native to medium mount) and will still be fully capable of both continuous fire and burst fire.
An interesting phenomenon occurred once the evils eyes organically produced lasers reach a certain size and intensity, such a limit reached by the Deamon's Gaze,  once the powerful beams have impacted a target and have begone to damage the target, via melting. The impacted metal material will be "Tagged" and will release a rather fascinating corona of energy, bleeding through the light spectrum. The released energy doesn't seem to be the material losing any heat from the daemons gaze, and instead, it seems almost like the materials metal bond are slowly degrading. This does not seem to happen at a scale or rate that would cause damage to the "Tagged" target, just releasing energy along much of the light spectrum.  This released energy Tends to be bright enough to blind many light spectrum based sensors that are nearby the Tagged target, and this mass bleeding of light spectrum energy is easily spotted by light-based sensors from a farther distance away.

Beyond the pending cruiser design by Frostgiant, do we have any other small projects we want?

Design for next design phase:
Quote from: Troop Gestation Bay
We must bring our forces to the enemy if we are to defeat them. We have created this ship module to transport and prepare or forces for combat. Regiments of Harmony or other combat biosynths are carried in the gestation bay as thousands of fertilised but inactive eggs. When approaching battle the gestation bay activates the eggs and loads them into a specialised biosynth that protects the eggs known as a biosynth lander. They are roughly the size and shape of a missile and the gestation bay carries a great many of them. These biosynths are extremely specialised and are able to provide excellent protection to the eggs using a regenerating chitinous shell covering and impact dampening gel filled sacks in the nose of the lander. They are able to survive reentry and will protect the eggs even as they crash into the ground. The eggs have yet to develop at this point and are therefore less susceptible to g-fore shocks. Once this biosynth has landed it will shed sections of it's shell covering revealing appendages meant for the sole purpose of digging. Using both these appendages and it's tough, shell covered body the lander will bore its way beneath the surface of the planet, digging deep enough to keep it safe from orbital weapons. Deep in that hole is where the eggs it is carrying will hatch and the biosynths that are born from those eggs will begin carving a self sustaining colony down below the surface. The Lander when properly suited in the ground will start absorbing nutrients from the soil and growing in size. Once the eggs have hatched the biosynths will farm the lander for food. They will reproduce and grow in strength creating a large growing colony of biosynths. The lander possess no mind or propulsion and its actions are tropisms rather than decisions. It is small, expendable and hard to spot.

The Gestation Bay has an area where biosynths can be matured and then fed to boarding apendages. Landers can be deployed from boarding appendages as well, the peristalsis effect serving to propel the lander out. If a lander comes in contact with an enemy ship it will behave exactly as it would if had landed on a planet and will attempt to burrow before hatching its cargo.
We need troop carrying and deployment.

The notion of immune systems was discussed. I think we should add a basic one to the cruiser to ensure it doesn't get sick and die. Beyond what it's cells come with of course. It shouldn't add difficulty much.

If we're improving immune systems to counter plagues and anything else the enemy might throw at our creations of that nature it might be better to do it as a general revision to upgrade all our creatures.

I thought about and I think it should be a component design. White blood cells for anti-boarder work, platelets to perform damage control ,etc.

So we plan to design accurate sensors or make a revision to our Psychic Pulse Detection to do that?

Guys we shouldn't do Daemon gaze revision yet, we don't have evil eye xp yet so the evil eye won't count towards it.

I don't have probelom changing, any idea? do you think we can make our sensor to a cheeper version for aiming our weapons?

I was thinking either revise the node frigate to be tougher (we have lots of experience there) or revise the fear out of our Corvette lifeform.
