Quote from: Project Sheet music.

The current armaments of the regiment of harmony is simple and altogether less effective than will be required on the modern battlefield.
AS such, project sheet music is designed to update the armament of the notes and add more variety for an increase in tactical flexibility.

All armaments created in this project are grown within the egg, with environmental factors changing the projected armament of the note during gestation within the shell. These environmental factors can be easily manipulated by the hive in order for them to adapt the best-required weaponry as needed.

The first New note armament is the “Rick’ka”. Designed for shock attacks out from underground assaults and close quarters combat, the Rick’Ka posses two large scything talons designed to crush and cut through metal plating via the industrial strength ligaments that power their deathly sharp edge. In addition to these deadly talons, the Rick’ka posses 2 lesser appendages wielding what have been dubbed shrapnel claws.  These claws are used to grab, and mulched nearby terrain ranging from rocks and metal ore to metal alloys and carapace leftover from enemy bodies and fellow notes. These claws then proceeded to mulch the material, before firing it via a combination of an explosive compound and telekinetic force, creating a veritable wall of shrapnel to shred lightly armored infantry in close quarters.

The next armament is the “Dar’papar” a heavy infantry scale railgun organism, design to fire spikes of metallic bone at high velocities. Similar to the spine launcher mounted on our ships, the Dar’papar’s biorailgun is designed as a long range anti-armour weapon and the Notes body has been modified for such with increased vision capabilities, decreased armoring and less mass being put towards its close combat weapons.  As of now, the Notes lack the ability to deal with anything more armored then a infantry soldier at range. As a notable weakness it is one of the first issue to be confronted for this project.

The Clawncher subspecies is a Note that's body profile is dominated by its massive right claw. This huge contains a bio railgun mechanism designed to fire packets of the metalic membrane, which are filled with highly corrosive acids. This acid begins to quickly eat through metals, plastics stone and even flesh. Combined with the heavily modified brain of the clawncher, this mortar claw is capable of providing a quite frightening amount of deadly corrosive liquids and gasses on target with ease. These ease of aiming is due to a secondary brain, located inside the massive claw which takes care of many of the calculations that are required to successfully hit the target.
When not in combat it is Common for the clawncher subspecies to use their acid to help melt through heavy impediments to the mining process, weaking hard stone to ease the task of digging through it for other notes.

Subform designated as “Mas’ist’ta” have been designed to fufill a specialized function, losing all access to inbuilt weaponry in exchange for a series of large pore’s and many specialized organs. These specialized organs produce a staggering amount of special poisonous and acidic gasses, a devastating mix.
This gas has been created as poisonous, but in truth the poison is only a byproduct of its true function. The gas carries many small particle and compounds designed to befuddle the senses, both organics and robotic. Light, thermal imaging, radar, magnetic and radiation are just some of what this gas has been designed to obscure.
This is of course done in the name of befuddling the aim of our enemies, making it harder and harder to ensure clean kills on the Notes, helping leverage our numbers more. The secondary gas mix, is a highly acidic compound, released in the event of close combat brought about by fortifications storming or underground assault. This highly concentrated acid gas is designed to quickly melt through any form of air filter that the target may possess as well as quickly eating through any weak points that might be present on their outer shell before attacking soft organics or wiring and circuits. While also deadly to the notes, it is projected that it is likely that their robust physiology will enable them to survive up to an hour of exposure before death is certain.

The final armament sub-form present in Project sheet music is the “Evaa’Ewan”, designed with a much larger laser weapon, similar to both the evil eyes mounted on ours ships and the regular laser weapons of the notes, that requires a 10% increase in massive and the dedication of more body profile in order to wield as necessary.
This much larger laser weapon is designed to have a stronger punch then the Normal laser of the Notes, and should be capable of burning through heavy armour with sustained pulse fire. Its secondary purpose, is the addition of a Kaleidoscopic nictating membrane, similar to those mounted by the evil eye. When the nictating membrane is closed, the anti-vehicle weapon of the Evaa’Ewan becomes a storm of laser fire, designed to suppress enemy infantry in order to cover the advance of our notes and our own return fire. While we foresee overheating issue due to the increased laser size, the added anti-armour weaponry available to the regiment of notes, along with the suppressive capabilities gained once the Membrane is closed is determined to be suffienct that the overheating possibility is an acceptable trade off.

Project sheet Notes are designed to by an upgrade to the gene code of the Regiments of harmony, and if possible should be standard across all further deployed regiments. If impossible, the Project will resort to creating a genetic upgrade kit to apply the necessary gene edits on a per regiment basis.

Basically its an attempt to make a genetic package that will enable the creation of diffrent weapon variants once the notes have landed and begun breeding inside of the subterranean nests. If its not possible to have these available via just being made on planet because of their genetic code, it will take the form of a zero space attachment.

I could have just said "Its a Note with a Shotgun and bigger claws, Its a Note with a sniper railgun, its a Note with an Acid mortar etc but i felt that was a bit of a cop-out so I described all of them and named the subforms

Quote from: Mind Jammer focusing upgrade
The current version of the mind jammer is at best a mild annoyance to psionic foes and may potentially be ineffective against the gaians. It needs a major overhaul in order to fulfill it's function. Firstly we need to increase it's output and it's potency, for this lessons can be learned from the spine launcher rounds. Pouring similar quantities of emotion into the minds of our enemies may be very effective. We should modify the mind jammer to besiege the enemy with hostile emotions of such intensity that all other thoughts are eclipsed. Further more the mind jammer would likely be more effective if it was concentrated on a single area. Its current wide area of effect diffuses its effectiveness somewhat. So by limiting the area and focusing it's effects we can increase its effects. Instead of a wide area we will project its effect in a narrow cone towards the enemy.

Suggestion for Sheet Music (to replace Gas Launcher)

Scout Form (Nyo'rka)
A small bodied note with finely tuned senses amd long range reporting antennae, Nyo'rka is designed to move foreward quickly with tunneling claws, powerful legs, and a skilled navigation brain that also maps the terrain around it via vibration sense, returning a mental map to the hive. For defense, it has an extra arm that blasts flechettes at the enemy, and will club enemies with digging claws.

Val'den revision suggestion
Quote from: Val'den general update
Why The Vaal'Lara sea-worms act so strange compared to other animals, why do the largest of them are the first to run with smaller harden their bodies and sacrifices their life to defend them, that is a question every Liiren child who hears his songs know, the worm, like the Liir, grow in size as it ages and don't have an inert expiration age, but unlike the Liir, it does not grow stronger but weaker, it out layers can't keep up with the quantity needed so the quality drops, but they do grow in fertility, the weaker layers allow sperm cells pass easier through and as they grow more reproductive organs grow in them, making the bigger one much more valuable and sensitive. What wasn't known until recently is the scale to which this behavior accrues, According to the worm's apparent seniority relative to those in it group, the worm will modify itself in cellular and hormonal level, the smaller it is the more aggressive and harden it's outer shell becomes and less flexible and sensitive to pain it get, this could allow us to improve their survivability in battle, we shall modify the Val'den sensors to recognize all Liir ships as other members of it kind, making it smaller in comparison to all other members of it pack in it surrounding, in response to that the Val'den would equaire the wanted behavior patens to defend them.

I've said it before but I think attempting to armour up the corvettes is the wrong path. They'll be in battle against ships with larger weapon mounts than them. They'll always be outgunned. No matter how much we armour them up we'll still be losing some in every battle we send them into. Losing them is fine so long as the effect they have on the battle is worth it. Thorium glow reactors, boredrives and all that other stuff just so we can bring four more evil eyes into the battle? Currently they're not worth it. Giving them more amour isn't going to change that. My vote is too either abandon corvettes altogether or drastically rethink our doctrine regarding our corvettes.

TITAN, RULER OF THE VOID

Leviathan is a gigantic serpent designed for life in the void. Impossibly long, thr beast stretches all conceptions of life. A wide mouth leads thr beast, and it can scream audibly in waves of presurized gas, that is also flammable, the force strong enough to destroy ships. The length of its body is decentralized in nature, with damage to one not hampering thr function of the rest. Thr beast is coated in layers of carapace, and has a hyper-durable internal skeleton, with joints between the sections reinforced by an internal connectivity path distributed throughout the creature. Each segment mounts 10 railguns on each side, 5 evil eyes, its own  reactor and propulsion, and is possessed by its own targeting mind. The beast can reconnect disconnected segments by reaching out with internal feelers and regenerating the damage. It can also sever at will if need be, allowing it to travel through any cruiser sozed or larger bore.

Dreadnought Drifter, Enemy Fear

A vast command post oblong in shape, dozens of thick tentacles hang down from the command blob of this being. These are used as bludgeoning, shieldjng, and weaponry  with more sensotive tentacles being hidden in the middle of the mass. Properly fed, the being can regenerate each of these shielding tentacles.

Val'Den General Update
[Efficacy: 2]
While attempts to work with the worm-mind that forms the base substrate of Val'Den do bear some fruit, the end result is still an unfortunately limited improvement. The core issue, that the primitive mind is able to override a Lirran commander's psionic control in moments of stress is slightly reduced. However, Val'Den under fire will no longer simply attempt to run and hide. They will attempt to directly defend their larger peers- but in their neuro-regressive panic state they lose the ability to effectively use their integrated weapons and will instead 'body block' projectiles.

While this can be effective in certain situations, it probably won't help their mortality rate in the field.

Project Sheet Music
[Efficacy: 1]
The sheet music project, initially designed to expand the combat options of the Notes, is a non-starter. The scope of the project, adding new forms to the self-replication of the notes, was a complex enough task to challenge bio-weavers without additional complications. Unfortunately, additional complications do arise in the form of an unnoticed mutated gene=segment which significantly damaged the ability of the Liiran researches to extend neural control over the new note forms. The incident results in several dead researchers, as well as updated several protocols in the handling of experimental specimens. While something can probably be salvaged from the project and applied going forwards, the unfortunate loss of control, rogue specimen outbreak, and subsequent lab purge means that nothing tangible comes of the time invested.

Blobbo Dreadnought

A colony of interconnected organisms insterspersed with "driver" host symbiotes, this dreadnought drifts through the void. Each Blob is a round, non-flammable gas filled organism that takes in ambient energy and matter, digests it to a gaseous state, and uses this energy to move about with a combination of plasmajets and psionic simple minded motive force. This allows the Blobbo to split apart as needed to avoid enemy fire, and can directly move objects if directed by the hosts, who communicate with the blobs via chemical signals passed throough the touching membranes.

We would also mount a giant gun in the middle of this somewhere.

Edit: Or, the blobs use gravity via psionic interaction as the drives.
