"Yes, do you know where to evaluate the value of old coins I got"

"Oh? Can I see?"

"Sure." You remove the pouch from your pocket and place it on the counter. The old woman lifts the bag off the counter with one hand, shaking it slightly but not producing much motion. She then reaches under the counter and retrieves a box of latex gloves, which she applies to her other hand. Gingerly, she removes the three coins, one by one, and examines them. "I've never seen anything like these. They have the weight for real silver, but that needs testing. If they are, on material alone I'd say they're worth about $9 each. Could be more on the workmanship or historicity though." She looks up at you. "They all seem to have an identical design. If you leave one here, I can do some research and give you a full appraisal later. You'd just need to sign a paper attesting that I'd be briefly holding onto it for that reason."

I say we let her appraise them.

I say we let her appraise them.

"Alright then."

She gives you an affidavit to sign, and a card with the shop's phone number so you can check in if desired. "That'll do, dearie. Oh, and here's your paperwork for the background check. You can turn that in next time you visit. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, that'll be all for now," you say. "See you later."

You head back to your car and start browsing on your phone for laptops as you wonder what to do next. You suppose you should decide what all you want to do with a laptop. If it's just for browsing, that probably wouldn't take anything too fancy. Things still haven't picked back up yet traffic-wise, so it might also be a good time to see Roger.

(Sorry for delays. Personal stuff)

Go and see roger.
+1

You pull out your phone and text roger.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's not actually that far, just a dozen or so blocks North and West a bit. There's a couple slow intersections but you get there soon enough. It's a small green space, plentifully shaded, occupying one square of the neighborhood's grid. There's a sandwich shop, a bagel shop, and other various eateries on three sides, and, indeed, an old grey chapel on the fourth. The street parking's surprisingly crowded right now, but you manage to find an open space after circling around.

You spot Roger coming out of the bagel place, two coffees in hand. It looks like he's wearing the same blazer as when you picked him up the other day, on which you notice the sleeves seem to have come loose from the torso. He doesn't notice you until you approach and call out. "Hey."

"Oh! Hey. Uh, I got some coffee. Hope you like Espresso?"
