"Joe Brent?" you ask.

He hurriedly climbs in the front and then says "Yeah, that's me," buckling in. Hmm. As you start driving away, you note on the route that he doesn't live all that far from the store, maybe a little closer than you but from a different direction. You're not judging, but you do wonder why he wouldn't just walk, as it'd be cheaper.

"So..." he says, interrupting the formation of a silence. "How's your morning been?"

"Pretty good, as far as things go. A bit strange, but that's nothing bad. You?"

He shrugs. "Well... I wasn't scheduled for today, but at work they texted me like ten minutes ago to come in ASAP. Guess they had a power outage last night for hours. Grocery store, y'know. Real big mess..."

"Yeah, I'll bet," he says. "So that'll be fun. Maybe they'll let me go home if we get it cleaned up fast though." It doesn't take long to reach the store. Maybe he called a ride cuz it was urgent. You pull up near the front, and as he's about to disembark, he stops. "Shit!"

"What?"

"I forgot my nametag again..."
