Yo. We're going to be describing some sort of thing. From a spaceship to a vending machine, from an egg to a couch... this is Design a Thing.

To play, describe, in some manner, the object that is the current focus of the thread. Once at least ten posts have been made describing the thing, at any time you may set a new thing to be described.

Let's start with the Mage Association Official Vending Machine. This rectangular contraption of metal dispenses a wide variety of potions and other limited-use magical items for gold coins. Thieves should beware of the integrated curse-based defense system.

It has glowing blue sapphire eyes.

It has a bad habit of consuming the essence of random passers-by and trapping their minds in magic artifacts, with effects derived from their personality.

It sometimes steals money form people who stand near it for long periods of time.

It can turn other vending machines into copies of itself by throwing $31415 dollars at them.

It is often found to be not where you last saw it, but against a different wall, in a different room or along a different corridor. Yet it has never been observed moving or being moved.

Next Thing: The legendary sword Dustblazer. Dustblazer is an orange colored bastard sword of absurd size. When it's embedded into the ground, Dustblazer's enchantments turn the ground into dust and explode it everywhere.
