I thought new pops didn't cost food on the turn they're made?
Shouldn't I have 1 extra food? or am I just reading it wrong?

wait, i thought the felkushans were praying to farsky?

That is correct. The Felkusha were also supposed to increase their population by 1 at the cost of 7 food.
The GM... Is still making less errors than I did I think.

I also noticed that the Torograf Tribes have -2 food.
Fixed, I think I got distracted halfway through writing up your actions and then thought they were done.
Torograf fixed to 0.

I'm a little confused. Since when was G3 depleted? It wasn't depleted when I foraged it last turn.

Also, I'm wondering whether there is an RNG element with research, since Hurdur discover farming (5RP) and I only have proof of concept (6RP).

Civilization Name: The Neonight Tribes
Civilization Color: Navy
Starting Location: D4
Government: Chiefdom
Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

Although disappointed at the lack of the promised land, the tribe decides not to abandon Sang as their deity just yet.
They shall in faith journey once more to the location of the promised land, and see if it has appeared yet. ( and then probably strip it bare since they are about to starve and it will be the only land in range...)

Gilbert tries to make more practical terrain and makes H8 and I9 boreal forests.

Felkusha Territories
The Felkushan Elders consider the gods...

A total of 2 prayers have been given to Sang
A total of 1 prayer has been given to Ædin
A total of 1 prayer have been given to Bakos
A total of 1 prayer have been given to Polygaias
A total of 2 prayers have been given to Gilbert
A total of 2 prayers have been given to Farsky

It is decided that the best approach to dealing with the god Sang is would be to pray when in need of more oceanic resources, or out of respect when making abundant use of the water they already have.

Farsky has claimed that he would grant what the Felkusha desire... But would Farsky follow through?

websim.ai is coming dangerously close to being able to run Gridhood. Maybe I'll live to see the day if I exercise, eat right, and somehow convince the world's governments not to nuke everyone.

Farsky ponders his actions before deciding. He creates a fertile old battleground at d6 for 5fp, filled with the husks of wrecked vehicles powered by steam, overgrown and covered in greenery. (Fertile, can be scavenged for clockwork parts, rations/supplies (they may not taste to good though), or titan bones.)
Felkushans, how is this? GM, is this an OK action?

My mistake. I added the new pops before running the food. I'll fix the food for this turn's new pops.

I'm a little confused. Since when was G3 depleted? It wasn't depleted when I foraged it last turn.
There's a difference between depleted and stripped barren, and I'm not going to always be clear on effects that the tribes don't know about.

Civilization Name: The Neonight Tribes
There's nothing to forage there. Sorry, but you're going to go into starvation this turn.

Farsky ponders his actions before deciding. He creates a fertile old battleground at d6, filled with the husks of wrecked warmachines, some manned some not, overgrown and covered in greenery, and the unnaturally slowly degrading remains of their titanic adversary, a massive humanoid thing still standing as it did during the battle. (Fertile, can be scavenged for robot/machine parts, rations/supplies (they may not taste to good though), or titan meat/bones/blood, titan biomaterial is fairly poisonous and if it doesn't kill you than the whispers of the titans will turn you mad, oh and it's glowing blood is in several splattered puddles, not enough to make the whole place poisonous but one still needs to watch their step)
Felkushans, how is this? GM, is this an OK action?
No. Robots and an unrotting magical titan carcass would have an epic cost. Ask again how much it'd cost after you can afford an epic level cost.

The deal is that a god is going to build the land before I get there. I should be able to harvest the newly created land, right?

You cannot interact with stuff that's being made this turn.
Likewise, if some god turns everything into irradiated wastelands, you'd still have a turn to gather.

Sorry, but you're going to go into starvation this turn.
I take it back, barren grasslands are not wastelands devoid of life.

Drecthul Commonwealth
My population was 5 last turn, so unless I got an extra pop unit from someone else I should be on 6 population now.

Huh. Well, it would have been nice if you mentioned this before I tried to do it last turn as well. Anyways, Ill edit my actions.

Bakos contemplates these latest events.  He expected fruit-filled fields to be more useful to mortals; he did not intend to fill half the known world with nigh-useless terrain.  Alas, the great GM Overlord had other ideas.

Perhaps something different can be attempted.

Bakos attempts to create a special tile.  For 5 FP, he creates a Moon Grape Field, replacing the barren grassland at I4.  The Moon Grape Field is extraordinarily fertile and replenishes itself every full moon.  The intent is to create something that cannot normally be stripped barren, though whether that is really how it works is up to the game overlord.

Bakos also notes with curiosity that the world has grown in size. Never mind, it's still the same size.

there i changed it, now it contains steam level stuff instead of robots, and the titan is now just a skeleton. Is that any better?

Sang puts a submerged ricefield at D3 and an old-growth Mediterranean forest (rich with oaks and beech) at G2. After some reflection, he puts a plain of volcanic ash at I9 and decides to hold his last FP in reserve to answer future prayers.
