Seems a bit less harsh than it did before, really. If you have to wait hours you're out of the fight, if it's just the push you're back in the fight.

Push counter is permanant, but I see your point.

So is dying. And limiting to one push per mission will prevent the minimum from increasing.

... I  never realized there was a safe threshold, its why I never used any at all last time, was saving it for when it really mattered.

Hmm.  I hadn't realized that there's safe pushes, either.  Ah well, I'm pretty even the first push's potentially dangerous, so it's still a strong penalty.

Also note that remote casting is less reliable, since it's an extra complex action to share any effects at range.  So it's one die roll to blink, stay invisible, or shoot a manabolt, and two die rolls to use any complex magic.  You can use a familiar as a respawning proxy to keep yourself out of danger, but it'll be a lot less effective than fighting in person.

Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Setting up first mission now. I've selected syvarris, Hiddenleafguy, Radio Controlled, Lenglon, Dustan Hache, and Yottawhat to be the players for this mission. randomgenericusername and IcyTea31 get an On-Ship thread as consolation.

Power & Pulse turn 1: Foxes & Forgetfulness
« Reply #44 on: April 24, 2018, 05:21:32 am »

Scenario 1
DRY

Area of operations is lightly-vegetated badlands.
The terrain is mostly flat.
The ground is mostly hard clay, with some areas with softer soil.
Vegetation in this area is mostly short grasses, and a few rare bushes.
Pebbles are common on the ground and there are some large boulders that might provide cover.
A short distance to the south the land gradually slopes upwards to a hill. In this region flora is more common, with some small white-barked deciduous trees.
Fauna has not been observed in the area of operations.
