.. Did you set up a Government yet? I put one guy as Head of Defense, thats about it so far, no funding for anything but the research. I wonder if the budget and all that stuff only matters at the end of year 'tick'.

I have a bunch of ministries set up, no clue what they actually do though.

We had to disable a few things but they are being worked on and in the mean time we will enable what does work. Things will be a bit wonky but they will short them selves out eventually (e.g. riots when taxes 100%)

I can't even see where I can fund my defense department as of yet.
Under the Budget/Government, I see departments, but the budget list and the departments you can set up via Nation/Gov, don't line up at all.

Yeah, and my Politics>Overview page says I have 4 departments, but I have 11 of them set up under Nation>Government.

I wonder if we should be setting prices on our resources in the Economy>Income screen, since they all default to zero...

Also there's a price history on the stock market now.  Not that I can see a use for it, since the resource categories are much broader than the stock market categories...

Also also, there's now alliances set up on the Alliance>Overview page.  And 1 war declaration :p

I was looking at that, Economy/Income. I didnt even unban all those goods yet.. I did a few and then thought ehh, cba right now.
I wondered if the tab at the bottom, Status, free market/Govenment, makes those settings active/inactive possibily (wishful thinking maybe).

Only 20 days to my pair of snipers though.

Now that kid's watching over our nation's security, I think I'm going to train a Propaganda cell to go spread fear of global warming among my neighbours.

Also I've gained ~3bn to my balance since this started, though my credit rating dropped from BB+ to B.

No show. Troop stuck at zero day it looks like... next in line is ticking down though.

Also, gained 2-3bn too it seems (3066.939M in fact I did have a little notepad doc I put some numbers in to see if they update daily/yearly)

Stability has dropped a fraction already (-0.0087%).  Related to no gov/funding? Or maybe the upping of taxes... who knows

48 new population too, so thats running daily calcs.

Yeah, my intelligence cells are stuck at "in training" once the progress reached 100% (progress bar is gone).

Tried to send the espionage cell out, but they're not available in the cell dropdown on the mission screen.

I've screenshotted a few of my overviews to see what's changing.  My GDP is rising, poverty index, corruption, and unemployment declining.  Stability is declining too though...

Anyone else's balance keeps rising while having their expenses 10x higher than their income? I'm no economist, but I think that's wrong.

I also think the reason that we can't use trained units yet is because to use them you need to include them in a military organisation branch, and to make that branch you need to have a military leader. The lowest ranking military leader you can train takes about 14 years, so...

Oh yeah, my expenses are 14.9bn, income tax just under 3bn, and I'm gaining about 450m a day.  I guess maybe stuff's being sold even if it's not showing yet?

Research ticking up too, so that is running daily times.
0.01644% in my fields (speed, armor) on the break down list Military/Research.

That has to mean the income/expenses on the budget are just yearly projections or are those daily figures.. I also am gaining cash from what is a massive decifit. So assume tax from trade or something is running but not showing.

Edit:
Corruption is going up fast. From 3.524Bn to now 4.351Bn... that is -- scary fast imo 
Better get some Gov up and running

I think it's more likely the dev just disabled expenses ticking to prevent a total economic collapse on day 1
