Hello All!

Steps to War is a new MMO Grand Strategy game that is set to open to an open beta tomorrow on the 13th as of writing this. The game is set to include detailed economics, military and diplomacy and has a lot of interesting ideas for game-play. For example if you get defeated in a war and the enemy decides to annex your country, you can start your own faction and become a guerrilla leader to fight against the oppressors. That means, you can make your enemy’s life a living hell by targeting their military, infrastructure, civilians and cause enough havoc for them to give back your country or if they are persistent, gather an alliance to liberate your country.
 
If you get defeated but they don’t annex your country – you will lose political power. This will limit you in your abilities to run your country as it falls in to chaos. There will be a few options:
1) Start a faction and become a guerrilla fighter.
2) Become a colony and based on the agreement you could retain your political power
3) Negotiate to cede – any agreement if possible (e.g. resources / technology)

The developers have stated they will not reset the world and it will be persistent.

The game has had several delays already, but I am hoping that it should release on time as this is a very ambitious and interesting project.

Ok, registered, embarked somewhere on Amazon river. One thing i really, REALLY don't appreciate is inability to change your "embark" location after you choosed it - and you got to choose pretty much everything else (fluff and not fluff) after this.
Also apparently
a) Despite extreme variety of diffirent fluff languages, i don't see spanish.
b) Of all the variety of bizzare snowflakes in "stars" section in "national flag creation", there are no simple 5-pointed star. Guys...
c) Guys, guys!

Alright, so I've signed up as the People's Republic of the Congo. I suppose if anyone else wants to create a B12 Internationale you can find me as Koffi Botende (yes I did just mash two Congolese names together.)

Well its pretty much bugged for now, first i couldnt save my flag then game forced some random flag on me that i couldn't change.

I remember trying to make an account for this game back when keys where handed out on the LoL discord, many a month ago. Could never get the wizard creator thing to finish back then.. guess I will try again now.
