Let me put it this way. I quote from wikipedia:

Also, if Fallacy is third, then we probably shouldn't give him roles, right? He could be lying or later side with the mafia with all the stolen abilities.

Firstly, I don't take roles as my fee, I take actions. Secondly... that is the issue, isn't it? The issue with giving me abilities is that if, for some reason, I end up helping the mafia, I'll be really hard to deal with.

The solution is to just focus on lynching the mafia. There's only ten players, there can't be too many mafia. Just lynch them. I have no incentive to side with dead people. Furthermore, as I can't gain auto abilities as my fee, it's unlikely I'll be able to gain a self-revive or whatnot. If I sided with the mafia, I would be an easily killable glass cannon.

Besides, the town can easily outbid the mafia.

I mean, giving a single player many abilities is almost always a bad idea, even if they are town. Unblockable kills are a thing, also mafia roleblockers could constantly target him every night. And they are still limited to one action at night unless they get an auto that let's them do multiple actions.

You just have to weigh the value of an ability vs. the value of my services.

Sorry, missed that.

Presumably, when I die, I stay dead and all abilities I've been given stay on my corpse. If that's not what happens, it's not what I expect.

I don't think swapping an ability for being jailed once is worth it, now that I've given it done thought. Jailing is at its strongest when it's done to scum, not to town. Fallacy, are you able to jail a player other than the winner of the bid?
