God-Arcs made with wood material evaporate? I slated two moonaxe God-Arcs to be fabricated from a Bowyer workshop and they aren't present even though the queue isn't there anymore, signalling that it was indeed made already. Do they have to made with bone specifically from Aragami or do I need to made at God-Arc factory workshop?

EDIT: Nvm, someone just claimed them per the Hunting profession

Also without wood I cannot make any barrels

EDIT: Moonaxes don't act as something you can use to chop trees, since it is ranged weapon.

So yeah, I pretty much cannot progress without and axe to get wood at all.

I have no access to cloth yet and I didn't embark with any pigtails..

Pigtails do not exist. There is cotton.

God-Arcs made with wood material evaporate? You need to make them out of aragami bone or from anti-aragami metal.

So yeah, I pretty much cannot progress without and axe to get wood at all.

You need a pure melee god arc, ranged/melee won't do it. This is because melee god arcs uses the axe skill. It is entirely arbitrary but for complicated and dumb reasons its the best I can do. I'll try and figure out some workaround with the barrels.

I've managed to kill two Kongou unarmed (because the wooden God-Arc was terrible) with my ad hoc Squad. I cannot butcher them though

Well like I said you shouldn't be using wooden god arcs so that isn't a surprise. How exactly did you kill those things unarmed though? They're supposed to be unkillable without proper god arcs. I dunno why you can't butcher them though. Have you tried building a butcher shop really close to their corpses or something?

I've embarked as Blood-Type humans which already have considerable natural stats- not the regular weak human factions. Though admittedly the Kongou are pretty weak themselves.

Right now its a waiting game for my units to put on the corpse in the stockpile to be recognized as a butcherable corpse... Wish there was a way for a "haul" now button.

I recommend just putting a butcher station near them and prioritizing the butcher task. NPCs will not butcher a corpse that is far away from a butcher ship.

And I guess I did make those guys pretty strong. It's basically required to hold a weapon that's the size of your own body. Didn't consider it would translate to fistfighting. Oh well, can't be helped.

There is no other way to get God-Arcs right now since I can't smelt bars without wood to make the God-Arc factory. I'll wait for more Aragami to come on the map and melee it down so I can make a Bowyer crafted God-Arc.

EDIT: I wish there was a way in DF to "haul" something immediately like the "Do Now" option in workshops. They still are ignoring the body even though I unforbid outside refuse with (o).  ::)

You can also just make them in the bone-crafting workshop I think, if you have aragami bone. I believe the god arc factory might not actually do anything and be a holdover from a previous bad idea of mine. I'll remove it in the next version. If you want to make them out of anti-aragami metal, you can use a normal forge.

They FINALLY got to butchering the Kongou! I found out my problem- non-civ members don't get stocked in the Corpse Stockpile, only the refuge one  :P

Still the time to actually get a corpse is ridiculous. DF needs a hauling prioritizing to either immediately or near close gather something to haul quickly. At now I can assign huntings since I'd now be able to get bullets through the bones from the Skeleton..

The Liason has finally arrived and we're batching up an agreement, but I see no cotton seeds available to order for the next time.. How do I make Polymer or Latex that I see my units equipped with?

There are mobile factory "animals" you can purchase which produce those materials like how silk works.

Anyway to fix this? I checked the keybinding and it seems 't' is fully assigned, but when I check the Depot itself it a '?' mark is in its place instead. Replacing the 't' keybinding with another letter still leaves the Trade Depot inaccessible to trade because the '?' mark won't go away.

I dunno why that's happening. Did you drag and drop the files into a DF objects directory or follow the installation instructions? Are any other mods installed? Depots work for me.

I didn't add in anything from the initial extract. The only thing I did was fiddle d.init to increase the max population my Arcology can hold and the init to disable sound.
