So great i guess due to how much disapointed i was when i completed Witcher 1 prior it.
Witcher 1 to me ended to be a below-average game with its terrible combat system, but made a lot worse by the really very bad writing and dialogues that took you out of the atmosphere due to you laughing at how bad those "hey here's some bread, now let's fuck" , "hey i don't like my husband, let's fuck" type of dialogues were, impossible to take anything seriously in the game with such writing.
Witcher 2 simply fixed it all in my eyes with its superb writing (and excellent voice acting from every character in my language at least) and very good dialogues making everything a lot more believable and much more immersive (and much more true to the book atmosphere than Witcher 1 ever was), only spoiled me a couple of time (as i have still 2 books to read on the Witcher serie) but i was prepared for that anyways
And how great all the characters were in this one, from the relatively good folks to the worst piece of scumbags they all felt like people.
The gameplay was also more interesting with its better combat system even if it could have been better (the stealth parts could be improved), but it was already leagues beyond Witcher 1 failures.
I had decided to follow Roche path on the big game changing decision point that happens at mid-game and had a lot of fun. I'll have to try the Iorveth path one day to see the other town and quests.
Even the side quests were much better than in Witcher 1, the fetch quests were actually more interesting as they were more involved in the gameplay.
I wish the game would have been better optimised so i wouldn't have to lower the visual that much to have it constantly smooth, but even at low settings it still looked fantastic.
Each levels/environment were very well built with lots of sight seeing to do, and very surprisingly large enough to allow a lot of exploration despite it was not open world (similarly to Witcher 1 but with a lot more details).
