Yeah, there are only a handful of good incremental games with anywhere near as much visual polish as Cookie Clicker. Off the top of my head, the only ones I remember that both have good visuals and gameplay that isn't either bland or a clone of another game are SPACEPLAN and Idle Wizard. And the truly excellent ones are so visually minimalistic that they make Realm Grinder look like a AAA game by comparison :P

yeah, i even got the itch to try and think on my own twist for this genre, but it will probably look like Trimps or something like that. dont have much proficience at illustration. SPACEPLAN looks incredible tho, really digging the minimalistic style. i also played Clicker Heroes once, its graphics reminded me a bit of old Dofus (1.29 version), the sequel looks nice too from the trailers.

EDIT:

i also recommend taking a look at Heart of Galaxy: Horizons...you can only play it on Kongregate but it has a really cool resource management componente (its kind of a 4X RTS incremental game, i think?)

New World alpha has a server wipe tomorrow, with a big patch and lots of new keys being sent out. If anyone signed up for the alpha, you might want to watch your email...

Lately I've been jumping back and forth between Dominions 5, Eastside Hockey Manager, Battlefield 1 and Rocket League. The first two are proper time sinks, while the other two work as a quick fix. For me, anyway.

Fantasy maiden's odd hideout. Got stuck halfway trough the second half, because i totally wasn't able to beat "mash two buttons really hard while on really short time limit" part, so looked up ending on tvtropes. Otherwise, alright... not a horror, actually. Of whole chunk of game i seen, there were exactly one moment that were "remotely scary" (screamers are trusted and true method  :P ), and pretty much nothing else.
Also, i didnt searched, but it appears to me that RPGmaker is used only to make anime horrors (this, witch's house, I, probably something else), and there is no actual RPGs worth mentioning. Is this true?  :P

playing path of exile, still fun and free.

trying out a sentinel summoning guardian templar. with herald of purity and dominating blow, i can turn entire mobs into a crusade which will rush forward to the next wave and destroy it. pretty fun and powerful. im also using shock brand, which thanks to the way minions work, to mark targets and the summons swarm towards it.

Ah yes, the insatiable lust of corn and rice, clearly two of the most erotic foods.

Picked up Heat Signature, and I really enjoy it so far. It's really an unusual and interesting concept.

Currently I am playing Rimworld, Drawception and this totally rad roll-to-dodge forum game in a festive setting.
Oh and I'm looking into this Fabletop business.

No, that's the Whore genre. Similar to Horror, but different.

There are some pretty good ones though; Saya no Uta is a gem, written by the same guy who did Puella Magi Madoka Magica a few years later.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I also recall Divi-Dead was quite good... though hell if I had any idea what was actually going on.

I've been playing Phantom Doctrine, which is sorta kinda a mix between X-Com and Invisible Inc.  Sorta.  Kinda.

It's a bit janky and rough around the edges, but I'm generally enjoying it.

Currently I am using my poor new smartphone to muddle through this daft single-player mobile game called Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare, little more than a thinly-veiled excuse to show ads and sell microtransactions, without spending a cent.

It's funny, there are so many fancy unlockable units in the store that cost big piles of coins to unlock, and I'm just forging ahead with this motley crew of the first few soldier types. Hicks with shovels and shotguns, female cops (they were lower level and cheaper than the male ones, go figure) and the occasional lumberjack who can heal themselves by chugging some gods-know-what mid-battle. A satisfying underdog feeling, I guess.
The game itself has just enough merit, what with its lovely graphics and presentation and the simple-yet-fun casual gameplay, that I am putting up with its blatant... I don't know, commercialism - at least for now. Been watching a lot of bloody ads, though. :-X If the ads had started right at the beginning I would have bailed, like I did with several other piles of swiftly-uninstalled Play Store garbage but I'm in too deep now.
At least they (the ads) are more-or-less voluntary, in exchange for cash, gas or... well, probably not ass, but maybe later in the game?

Someone gave me TIS-100 for Christmas, which I've been playing off and on in my spare time.  That's a little bit of a mistake though, since some of the programs you have to write actually require a fair bit of thought, which isn't conducive to just spending a few minutes here and there on it.

I'm currently on the interrupt handler, which is harder than I expected.  Working with almost no memory makes every problem much harder.

LAN party this weekend.

Holdfast: Nations at War is pretty great. Casual (in that there's no leveling or unlocks or grinding or anything) style Napoleonic War simulator. Up to 150 players per server. Can't hit shit beyond 30m. Stand in big lines of dudes shooting muskets wondering when you're going to eat a musket shot or cannon shot to the face. Open mics, and lots of people doing goofy RP. It's not the deepest or most serious game but we had a lot of fun.

Dark Souls 3, a staple.

A little Death Road to Canada coop for a change of pace. They've added support for 4 players now.

Been dicking around with For Honor in between games.

Might play Space Hulk: Deathwing here soon too.
