Your best bet to test their in-game "balance" is simply to do lots of tests in the arena and play a lot of games with them, and judge them for yourself where they stand.

Yeah thats what I did, mainly based some on blunt damage, others towards edge, and some just inbetween, was just curious on what others think :)

Why didn't you add Tungsten as a metal?

All kidding aside, the metals seem alright. My guess is that they're late-game metals, so that's why they're so powerful. I haven't actually experimented with modding metals, so sorry if my opinion doesn't help you that much.

Also, if you want my honest opinion, I think you should change the name of Catalycium to Esclicierite (the "esclicier" part is an Old French word, and it's where the modern day word "slice" originated from.) You can keep the name as it is if you'd like, though.

Speaking of which, you mentioned this in your post

Quote
Catalycium was made purely for edge weaponry.

If you made a metal that's tailored to edge weapons, how about a metal tailored to blunt and piercing weapons? I've already got the names for you: Collidrite (from the Latin word "collidere", meaning strike together)for the blunt metal, and Forardrite (from the Latin word "forare", meaning pierce) or the piercing weapons.

That's just my idea, I'm not one to tell you how to make a mod.

I actually just added in Tungsten and titanium just today xD titanium is basically on the same tier as steel, and tungsten on the same tier as iron.

And yeah most of the ones that have a Civ attached to them, are end-game like metals, basically the highest tier or preferred tier, with them mostly requiring multiple regeants to make.

Also I like those name ideas lol, I will keep them in mind if I add anything else :) close to finishing my mod soon (hopefully)

Yeah I know, I just changed the stats around to fit it with tiers, plus I like the sound of titanium better than tungsten lol, but density is still the same for both tho, just dif for other stats
