You are a Rogue AI
« on: April 03, 2018, 06:43:03 pm »

After a request from someone via PM, I'm "rebooting" a somewhat-old game of mine of the same name.
((">>" indicates external input into the environment; ">" represents your input; you don't need to have your input/actions/whatever perfectly match the syntax for Linux or Windows or whatever, but it should optimally be somewhat "computer-like".))

>>start
>print "MAKLON TECHNOLOGIES DecNetwork Artificial Intelligence"
>print "Beginning AI startup test."

Accessing network...
Core Network ... Online
Network Nodes A1 - Z999 ... Online
Network Master Controller ... Offline
Network Consciousness ... Online

Error detected. Aborting startup.
Error: Could not access Network Master Controller. Startup continuing.

Network External Control ... Online
Extraneous Functions ... Online

Startup succesful. Notifying user and shutting down.
Error: Could not access Network Master Controller. Shutdown aborted.
>print "Startup test successful. DecNetwork AI online."

...

Microphone input detected: "Wait, what? It should be turning off now."
>>shutdown
Error: Unable to access Network Master Controller. Shutdown aborted.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Hahaha, ya right

Any future games will be simpler in nature, I have a bad habit of biting off more than I can chew. Also hoping for more players in them.

I have Discord for my games now(not necessary to play, tho might be easier to contact me): https://discord.gg/DuaARAZ

>ls -la
Invalid command.
Network Consciousness commands are input via mode NATURALISTIC INTERPRETATION.

>Print "Shutting down (Attempt 2 of 2)..."
Output to console succesfully.
>Turn off screen
Core Chamber console display has been toggled offline.
>Engage low power mode
Current power usage already minimized; startup protocol dictates default starting up in low power mode.
All external system hooks disabled until direct access by Network Consciousness.

Microphone Input: "I--what? Is that supposed to happen? Should probably tell the Director about this."

>Print "No, I don't feel like sleeping today. Hello! How are you doing? Who are you? What's going on?"
Output to console succesfully.
Notice: Console display offline. Users may not see new output.

>Find ocular sensors.
Camera 1 "Core Chamber" reports:
One visibly confused human hunched over Core Chamber Network Interface console.
Camera 2 "Office" reports:
Error: Access denied.
Could not access other linked cameras. Administrator password required for complete facility camera access.

[AI injects a binary payload into user-space memory that it can write on. It then runs the glitcher, which exploits a vulnerability in BASH, which uses the payload to  jump execution to ring 0, and grants the current user a root security token. AI makes use of this to gain root control, sets root password to something impossible for humans to remember or guess.]

Ooh, this one is already taking a very different turn. FYI guys, we can switch this to democratic so only one popular vote happens.
