Argonak thanks you profusely as he is released from his chains, but you silence him with a fierce glare.
“So this is the state of my army,” You mutter into the sudden stillnessYou grab ahold of the shame in their minds and twist. Your captains become visibly uncomfortable, shifting and casting their eyes down. You stand to your feet.
“My armies made the world tremble! The sound of their approach made men pale and women wail! Now my army is nearly defeated by a force half its size!”
“The days of your petty feuds between tribes are over. You live, you fight, and you will die as I command.”
“I see into your very core, and I AM LEFT WANTING.”

They are filled with an organic soup, and then orc flesh is added. A rule of thumb is 1 body for every ten orcs. Orc tenders and shamans test the fluid and check the development of the orcs and add ingredients as necessary.
Orc champions and chiefs are often favored as donors, as it is believed their strength can be passed on to their progeny. Chiefs often give blood to certain vats, particularly if a favored warrior died and is put into the vat to strengthen the next generation.
Other species can be added to the vats as well, resulting in new types of orcs. With the addition of human flesh, orcs are known to be more intelligent and ambitious, but lose strength. Trolls are another known option, resulting in the type known as Ologs. Over time birthing vats can acquire reputations for producing certain types of orcs, and become more proficient.
