You remember techniques you had mastered long ago, that allowed to influence crowds, channel more power and magic, and the memory of how to perform basic rituals.
Forces: 9 warbands, 3 trolls
Enemy: Goblin fortress, 74 goblin packs, 5 wolf packs, 1 pack of goblin hulks
In front of you lies the goblin fortress. It is a ramshackle construction, made out of scavenged wood and crudely hewn stone. Turrets jut above the walls, leaning heavily over the side. The walls aren’t impressive in the least, resembling more a study high fence, built quickly to house expansion.
You discovered from your mental shakedown of the goblin scout that this fortress is ruled by an elected chief, Gumdrup, and advised by a small council. Negotiations could be had, but goblins have little loyalty for outsiders, and would be unwilling to give you the resources you desire. However, they also don’t have much loyalty to each other.
Your captains advise that they don’t believe they have enough orcs to storm the fortress(aside from Bubol), though they would give a good fight. Aside from light skirmishing, the goblins seem content for now to stay in their fortress and reinforce their defenses.
What do you do?
A. Try to open negotiations with the chief.
B. Just continue the siege. Eventually they will have to try to break out, and you maybe able to defeat them with a good defensive position.
C. Channel malign influences their way, though you need more information to really target anybody.
D. Attack them before they have a chance to get help or reinforce their position even more.
E.Something else? Combination of above, send for more troops from your anti raiders?
