You pull Captooth aside and ask him why his husband is angry with you. The god of time shrugs. "I don't recall a specific beef... Honestly, Bark-Ark has trouble getting along with most deities outside the Abyssal Pantheon. He spends his days dealing with departed mortals, and those not reared in Ore's cult often take offense to a being who is not their god judging their fate. Nothing annoys him more than a dozen pious souls an hour screaming about how their god will hear about this and punish him."

Captooth shakes his head. "He actually told me he was fond of you some time back. I'm not sure if this was before or after you began to think he was mad at you, or if that still holds true today. In all likelihood your messenger caught him in a bad mood is all."

The fifth and final day of the feast arrives! Your twin heroic daughters Azuma and Nishi are formally acknowledged as having come of age. After the brief ceremony is complete, it dawns on you that you are in something of an awkward position. Azuma has agreed to go out into the world and seek the missing Staff of Creed, but Nishi has no such plans, and as an adult she can't be expected to just hang around the divine dwelling, contributing nothing.

You clear your throat, and issue the following decree!
A: Nishi must leave the divine dwelling to carve her own place in the world!
B: Nishi may stay with you until Azuma completes her quest, so that you may decide the fate of both twins at the same time!
C: Nishi must join her hated sister on the quest to find The Staff of Creed!
D: Nishi needs a place in the world! Anounce to the assembled guest that you will hear any offers of marriage or employment for your leadership inclined daughter!

From what was said at their birth, I don't think separation will be enough to prevent their fated conflicts (plural!). The next best plan is to push them together and see if they can work out a scheme of "healthy" competition for themselves.

I'm a little worried. Which mortals did not echo our decree, and why not? (I know it's a little late, but could we check this out?)
