okay, pillage is part of life, but will we want to pillage lands we desire to conquer?

pillaged lands aren't beatiful and i think it won't give the best subjects

although walnut did razed a city out of anger before, let's see beautiful things in the bad stuff too

Omada, I disagree with your last reasoning. Walnut razing a city means a city that is not converted to our cult. Just because we love him does not magically make his every choice OK.

Our very first act in the world was to make an ugly people not only pleasing to view but instilling kindness in their hearts to the point they renamed their town Charity.

I would class pillaging as the opposite of charity, and thus I have reason to judge that pillaging is the opposite of our divine portfolio.

We may have to accept the stench of corrupt allies in order to have allies (Dull's stance appears very much informed by worshipping a revenge-filled goddess) but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Openly giving a sub-commander free license is to paint ourselves with the same ugly brush.

Agreed, I just don't know that this has a useful chance of success from option E; and if it did it might anger Char-Dis who apparently has sent this fellow our way in the first place.

I'll accept, rather, to establish that our rules are not her rules and that we'll have to find a way to get along. I do have hope that at least some Nomads will visit the Temple of the Tome or otherwise be exposed while "sheltering" in our lands, and for that we could hardly be held to account.
