The southeast landmass is practically deserted, with only the badly battered and barely active Sylva Horde.
Not sure about the southeast.  Quite a lot of desert and difficult terrain.

you could always settle in the single alien forest on the lower left.
or somewhere in the southeast that is a bit towards the west of the difficult terrain

It only takes 5 prayer points to make a food tile that'll comfortably last until houses are invented.

Allow me to take a moment to advertise Asciihood. I guess its basically Gridhood without artistic talent? (Not that I have much artistic talent myself or anything).

To be totally honest, I am a bit pessimistic about this one after what happened to Gridland Survival 2, but I absolutely want to see 0cra_tr0per's interpretation of this game!

If one more person makes their own Gridhood, that will break my record for most imitation games inspired! Waaaait a minute... Oh. Nope, its too late for me to qualify for the INSPIRATIONAL forum game achievement. Had to be done by March 1.
