I recommend that the Breiger pray for a fertile tile of some kind, and then build a farm there.  That will help your progress immensely.  One problem with that is the gods have seemed very inactive lately.  I have noticed Felius, Snag, and Blarg posting recently, though.

I also recommend not taking it too seriously.  It's not that serious a game.  There will be occasional setbacks, but you'll most likely make steady progress overall.

Yeah, the way this game works, the civs have to be a bit proactive about begging for help because gods can do so little if they're not actively worshipped. I'm also available, but my FP pool is low.

Out of the strange alien energies in the square of A11 arise the Octadians, squid monsters with menacing spikes covering their entire body. They adopt the color green as their symbol, that being the color of their bodies. They worship Gilbert, the ultimate creator of themselves and their environment.

Is this okay? Also, how much pop should I start with? I'll take my first actions when I find this out.

The closest thing Bay12 has to a flamewar is an argument over philosophy that slowly transitioned to an argument about quantum mechanics.

The trick is to only make predictions semi-seriously.  That way, I don't have a 98% failure rate. I have a 98% sarcasm rate.

Starting pop is still 5.

That has to be the biggest waste of FP I've seen in these games by far.

They already have 6 Junk tools and 3 Junk Farming tools. Spending the 15FP on an artifact tool instead would be way more effective.

Like if you want to stick with the cutlery theme I wouldn't mind something like the Forknor's Fantastic Fork of Fishing.

Turn 43 - Agrarian Age

Spoiler: Tiles (click to show/hide)

I probably shouldn't let two people have the same color. I'm sure its fine if they are literally on opposite sides of the world though. If I am wrong, then at least nobody will know for... However long it takes to travel halfway across the map. 300 to 400 turns maybe? No idea.

Also, remember to point out any and all GM errors. I never take out my error frustration on the player. (The one time I appeared to was actually me pointing out that it was clearly not an error)

Godly behaviors of particular note
I'm going to rule that Junk Tools are a crafted item and not a basic resource, and thus are not something you can get for FP. I'm also going to rule that it would be a terrible waste of FP even if you could. (Believe it or not, it would actually be more effective than gifting food during a non-famine)

Snag re-gulls G1

Blarg is unable to create Intelligent Psychopathic Zebras at D11. You'll need nothing less than an Interactive tile for that. (You actually could afford it, but you specified 5FP. A wise move if you didn't want to spend 15FP)
