Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. : (

I didn't really think about how my comment would come across, and I am sorry.
It was a joke. I didn't take any offense, hence why I suggested you were suggesting something like wiener dogs. I understood the point you were making and I'm adjusting the Expansionists accordingly.

Oh, alright!

Well, you could have all sorts of different non-human aliens.  Maybe a giant beetle species with multiple limbs, hard shells and upward facing eyes?  Amphibious ants with colony Queens who are the most intelligent?  A species of lizards with vestigial wings, but long tails and fierce strength?  The Borg?  The mechanic-spiders from Host?  A species of snakes with multiple tentacles to allow them to manipulate objects, and a predisposition for industrial-looking mechanics?
The Grays/Terrestrials were meant to be non-human aliens, but they're still bipedal so I guess people aren't as interested in them. I added in the Amf, a robotic A.I race with an emphasis on structure creation.

well, now you have to give us another race to choose from, to maintain balance.  otherwise, you are biased. u_u

And to answer your question, a weiner dog would hold the laser gun in its mouth.

No the wiener dog would have a strap of the gun so that a triggerable device/mechanism/trigger is on their mouth, but the laser rifle is on top of their head or torso; and than consecutively they fire it with the movements of their jws

As for the robotic species, trying to make them the guardians of life, I see...

I feel as though the Invaders don't need a third race, since their special traits and unit stats are particularly advantageous compared to the Expansionists, who have much more emphasis on colonization rather than invasion.

You are THE CRAVING. Your purpose is DECIMATION. WE ARE MANY, WE ARE ONE. The fungus must spread, the spores must embed deep within all flesh. The latest of your conquests, Valdana, has been completely consumed by the fungal biomass. Your current hivemind OBEY OBEY OBEY resides on the planet CONSUME OBEY CONSUME and your armies have yet to be developed.

It is currently the Purchasing Phase. You currently have 300 EP. Here's the current line-up.

Walker - 100 EP

Hive - 500 EP

You may choose to skip this phase and save your EP if you so desire.

oh...we can't actually do anything this turn.  I guess we just wait until next turn so we can buy a hive so we can go to other planets.

No buy.

You can go to other planets without cruisers or hives, but they act as defense buffers over the planet, and are the only thing capable of fighting in empty, planetless space. Otherwise your units, when flying into empty space that the enemy is also flying through, simply shares a space with those units for the turn.
