Pinpoint Order Drone (POD)

Simply put, information is key. with the advances of societal upheaval nearing, a quick and intuitive eye for both the law and the superhero forces MUST be huphelpd, and for that, POD's are deployed.

POD's are simple, mechanized UAV's remotely controlled by local forces, which feed into the tactical networks of law-enforcement and can be viewed at any time by [INSERT SUPERHERO FOUNDATION NAME] handlers. If required, protocols are available for Super-hero forces to override access to the drone, and if required, cut it off from all but our own read-write admin access. This should not be done lightly, however, as it is meant to be a boon to our boys in red/blue rather than a liability.

The drones themselves are more or less a large camera put into a set of hover-fans, about the size of a dishwasher or washing machine cut in half and placed in a row. Designed mainly for the up-close by the minute feed of information to forces, it is designed with durability and speed to keep up with high-speed pursuits and similar strata. Theoretically, it might be able to used to kill a man by ramming, but this would damage the drone.

Hot Shot Costume Mk 2

The Hot Shot Costume Mk 2 is an upgraded costume for Hot Shot. It's primary offensive features are a set of gauntlets and boots made of ceramic and steel that allow her to channel her flames through modular pipes to increase the intensity and focus of her flame blasts. The rest of the costume is armored in kevlar and ballistic plate that allows for a complete range of movement due to construction and weight. The helmet/headwear leaves her face exposed with her head protected, and decorative flames adorn the sides. The headwear can be modified with a face or gas mask.

We don't have to do this now, but if we ever put her on the field we probably need something like this first. Her Probably Relatively Low combat stats and HP scare me a lot!

I’m sorry, how does the POD help?
Why do we need overengineered camera drones? What use would they have? How would they help us? Why would they be worth the investment?

Project: Needletail
Relatively small transport with VTOL capability, the Needletail is a slick black aircraft. By using groundbreaking new jet technology (mechanics please) we can have a craft with astounding speeds.

Its small-ish cabin can hold important cargo, but it will mostly be for the transport of important personnel - heroes - across the globe in a matter of a few hours. We hope to have a few of these available for our heroes to use as needed.
If it’s under danger from interception, it can just outrun the missiles and targeting. ((This is a real tactic used by, I believe, the Blackbirs)).

((AkA a skyranger/quinjet to eliminate travel times))

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

We have a single super hero who could possibly build a jury rigged armored suit or something similar. I very much doubt that we even have enough funds to craft a VTOL capable transport in any sense with "ground breaking new jet technology".

The POD is a drone designed to be distributed to police and authority forces so that both the boots on the ground and us have eyes on the sky to detect criminal elements. the POD is by no means over engineered, as with the size of the object we are making and the relative lack of possible features (thermographic, low light, augmented reality feeds, smart weapon assistance, an actual weapon to bolt on, I could go on) Par for the course, I think it should pretty simple, because its designed to be mass produced and handled by the lowest common denominator (It should be able to handle a drop), it is firmly grounded in reality, if a little silly for the fact that its designed for up-close and personal viewing rather then eye in the sky over-watch. It's also a first foray into aerial technology of the super variety, something that shouldn't be taken lightly.

If we really wanted to make a "small transport" which could traverse the world in hours with mere, I would go for a sub-orbital or a ballistic SSAC (Single-Stage Aero-Craft), that way we can skip the whole jet-deal and go straight to "murderously fast" by way of orbital mechanics. Pointless to pussy-foot around with baby-Drek like jet planes when we are get-damn superheros anyways.

I feel people are making a horrible mistake here. PEACHYKEEN isn't winning. Ya'll should fix that.

Also, why'd we need a Skyranger, Chief? Moving between cities is a mechanic so we probably can't eliminate it, and our only combatant can fly so we should be okay in city.

POD is an early warning system, which I like. It also sounds like ORWELL, which I don't. Being Big Brother isn't a goal.

Gauntlets are literally useless.

OK, POD is horrible. It is the most unfortunately stupid design I have ever had the sincere misfortune of hearing about in this Arms Race, and indeed in most Arms Races.
Why the heck do we need something the size of "a dishwasher" to carry a camera that fits in the cell phone in my pocket?

Also, why are we voting for the most tortured backronyms instead of the more reasonable ones?

I don't have time, but I will be writing up a proposal for a sort of Agent expansion that provides a "followup force" that cleans things up after heroic or villainous activity, and generally improves our reputation and visibility.

Are you saying that it is not my goal, BBB?

I also plan on introducing the concept of Social/Super Identification Numbers. (SSIN's)

Also, the gauntlets aren't literally useless, they just apply a bonus to someone who really isnt gonna be out there much. Figuratively useless maybe?

@Madman
I want a big frame that we can strap bombs and guns on later, and I feel that a large frame would be more stable and conducive to that kind of movement.

By having it be so large, it would help with its durability. I want a thing that could take gunshots and wall hits and keep on flying. Not some tiny fist sized drone that gets hit by a fruit fly and goes down. We're going against supers here, not civilians.

Then why not add bombs or a gun NOW, instead of wasting a lot of time developing Quadcopter But Bigger? We can do it all in one step.

Also, smaller quadcopters work JUST FINE for video now, no reason for us to develop our own bigger one to make a better target for the enemy.

Agent Training Academy
Although P man is very strong, there is room for improvement in his martial prowess. This is likely to continue being an issue with new recruits.
Enter, the ATA. The Agent Training Academy will be a state of the art training facility for both standard combat skills, melee and ranged, as well as a safe place to practice more unconventional skills and powers. This will permit our heroes, and standard agents, to become more capable in the field, limiting casualties and injuries of both civilians and our agents.

Just a quick idea for making our main hero a bit stronger, as well as hopefully helping Hotshot be less fragile.

The first part of this vote is kind of a joke since I don't really care, but I feel like better training should be a priority. After all, succeeding more leads to more success.
