Well, as I said, I wouldn't mind a sniper/someone deadshot like. Although a catwoman or some such would also be a nice idea seeing how they would be able to get us some extra cash on the side with their borrowing of very expensive and rare artifacts and possibly tech. Also, on a unrelated note, I wonder if there will be any neutral characters, ones whom are non aligned to either faction and sometimes fight both.
Well, I was under the assumption the recruits would be designed by helmacon, and how much reputation we use would act as the modifier to determine how skilled the villains are. So there's no guarantee we'll get a Deadshot or Catwoman-style character, or even if they'll have powers, depending on how much reputation we use.

Well, our own main villain has no powers so I don't think them not having powers is too bad. Also, as far as I know deadshot has no superpowers, he is just a extremely good marksman. Catwoman on the other hand, while having no superpowers, is a (Obviously) skilled burglar, a gymnast and I think decent at melee combat, along with having a couple of gadgets so they might (read probably) be a bit more difficult to get. Still, I would think we have a moderate amount of control over what we are looking for, so getting a ex army sniper or a thief will probably not be too difficult, rather getting a good one will be.

Ideally we should get someone with the power of self replication, like a Multiple Man or Billy Numerous. Having someone like that would eliminate the need for fodder henchmen

Well, once again you guys seem to have a fairly nice consensus, even if you're to dedicated to chaos and evil to use a proper orderly vote-box. Still waiting on the heroes to get thier votes together before we get to the next part.

On another note, would you guys want a discord to so you can heckle the heroes and exchange threats/banter/puns while you wait?

I like the idea of a quality miniboss henchman squad over a horde of faceless mooks. More interesting fights that way.

Discord is fine, as long as the major decisions are still voted on in this thread.

A Cerebral enhancer may well be out of the scope of what we can achieve with our current resources for the time being, unless we're planning for the enhancement to be miniscule. Thus, a counterproposal. More to the point, since we're doing this the lex luthor way, we don't need anything aside from the mech since we DO get XP. Remember that folks. And a horde of competant, well trained mooks actually sounds interesting in it's own right rather than relying on supers.

Enhanced Personal Computers: Building on Matters. Inc's success in the field of electronics, A new line of computers is drawn up and expected to be pushed to the public. This serves us twofold, as the sale of these computers will contribute nicely in a financial sense, and installing a few backdoors for us to use can, in the chance a hero ueses one of these computers, allow us to get info on the heroes that they would very much like to keep hidden.

I would greatly enjoy this.

We've already got a steady source of income from our trait, focusing on that is pointless. A level 5 intellect (or lvl 5 of any stat) can only be acquired from a research project of some sort, whether it's equipment or genetic enhancement, and thus it won't matter how much EXP we actually get because we'll never be able to raise ourselves past lvl 4.

Think about it, if the heroes went with Batman Jr. (john maxwell) then they already have equal intelligence with Brian Matter, and thus we're at a natural disadvantage especially considering the combat skills John Maxwell might have. On top of that, a Lvl 5 intellect will increase our chances at successful research projects and almost guarantee that our projects will be successful.

Anyways, here's a vote box. Correct me if I counted wrong?

Nothing says we can build upon that trait and bring in more money. Also, ensuring a unified basis for our computers means we'll have our data being a lot safer along with theirs being much less secure. And a level 5 trait is going to be EXPENSIVE, as in well beyond our current means, and I'm opposed to it because it doesn't really add anything that we don't already have. Furthermore, as much as Brian has poor combat skills, his role is not that of a frontline fighter but that of being the mastermind, we don't need to worry about those stats insomuch as we need to worry about the stats of our troops and other frontline villains.

More to the point, what hero they chose is immaterial to the choice of what to vote on here; the intent is to make them play catch-up by cunning plans and crafty schemes, not brute-forcing the mechanics of the game.

Are we sure it'd really be that expensive? We haven't gotten a price check yet, and the Cerebral Enhancer is a piece of equipment designed exclusively for Brian. We get cost bonuses when we create villain-specific gear, rather than general projects.

And we are using a cunning plan with the Cerebral Enhancer. A lvl 5 intellect will let us make projects far more efficiently than anything the heroes currently have, especially considering it's unlikely that John Maxwell will make a similar item, and P-Man is already a brute force hero with low intelligence. Once the Cerebral Enhancer is done, our projects will be created more efficiently, faster, cost less, etc. It opens up a whole new avenue of options for us, as well as giving us a head-start since our projects will be able to be finished faster.

Yeah, tailor made. That's going to massively add onto the expense since we need to independently test the components in order to avoid frying Brian's brain. Between all the R&D costs and the very specific and inadequate supply lines for the device it's not going to be feasible to deploy.

We cannot be stuck thinking this is going to be a 6 a side superhero/supervillain brawl. We need to widen our scope massively if we want something like Lexcorp or Latveria.

You've got the wrong idea. You're acting like the Cerebral Enhancer is meant to make Brian into a generic telekinetic or something. It's so that we can do the latveria/lexcorp/megacorporation/etc stuff faster and outpace the heroes ten fold. Plus, worst case scenario is we have to put the CE on hold, which doesn't slow down your idea all that much since projects need to be given a price quote and resources expended in them before they can actually be deployed post-research.

Except we can already do that by focusing on the material side of things, level 5 isn't that far from level 4 in terms of bonuses, and two level 4s would be far, far more efficient for getting all the projects we need done.

Again, we need to widen the scope, think beyond just one individual. Hell, I'm even considering moving the HQ from Dagos to Water City to take advantage of the unemployment and resources there. A lot of potential in those mines and with the disaffected masses.

Honestly, as much as I like the idea of getting level 5 int, I doubt we will be able to get something like that in the first round, be it from the difficulty of the research, the cost of getting a working prototype/finished product, or simply us not being able to do so as we don't have the tech that is required for doing such an action. If we could actually get level 5 in the first round well, I expect XP gains to be very slow...that or things will become more about who has the most good heroes/villains in one place then anything else...Or we just get stupidly lucky.

I agree with moving the HQ to Water City, especially with how we might benefit the masses there, thereby turning them against the heroes themselves. It's also land-locked, giving us a considerable defense advantage (Like the Legion of Doom!).
