well turns out it wasnt even in Niarja:

but still my point stands, there's no excuse or justification for these people actions. they should get removed from the game permanently, cero consistency on their supposed "rolepay".

That is why I always used a shuttle or at least a noobship. Both have better warp speed than pods as well, iirc.

its nota matter of warp speed, its a matter of the capsule having instant (or near instant) warp. there's no way a ship should be able to lock me and kill me unless its using a Smartbomb. the guy didnt even have to warp disrupt me, the moment i was supposed to have started warp i got locked and exploded. that's an exploit, not a feature.

Then report it.

The thing about warpspeed is that you get to your destination more quickly, it is a secondary bonus. The primary one is that when you get ganked in a shuttle/noob ship you still have your capsule and can usually escape before you are locked again.
But sensor boosted destroyers lock quickly and even with a capsule it is just near insta-warp, even though the align speed is high. I guess it comes down to luck with the server ticks.

The guy who killed you ganks a lot of pods, he seems to know what he is doing. And he clearly isn't in it for the money, mostly killing pods, noob ships and ventures. Which is perfectly legal, as far as CCP is concerned.

Yeah the DPS on the ship he's flying is high enough to pop your pod in a couple seconds once you're locked. The eggs are pretty fragile unfortunately :(

rank 250, i decided to stop by in Amarr to redeem the rewards so far just in case.

i should be combat ready for tomorrow, its a needed change of pace taking in account that the L4 agents are throwing lowsec missions too frequently. got to do some in fact, but i dont want to play that russian roulette so i instead opted to star running missions with other corp when not doing that.

Emperor Family is the closest one as this system is also a staging for L2 distributions from that corp. this standing gain may come handy as it reduces taxes in the trade hub. i was also considering running some missions for Khanid. but turns out the main entities in the kingdom have different agents from all classes.

one option would be to take jobs from Khanid Works, which has some mining agents, to be more specific it has L2 and L4 agents. i've never run mining missions so this sounds appealing to try, problem is i dont know how much time would take to do a mining L4 on a Venture. at least to get the bonus payout at the last moment. there's also 2 R&D agents in Khanid Innovation at the L2 tier, those seem also interesting to meet as i dont have previous experience with R&D agents, it seems you can make some passive income from it allthought not as much as before due to datacores dropping in exploration sites. the Royal Navy has up to L5 combat agents which is really cool but im not looking to kill pirates and the like so i stay out of it.

if i can consider Hedion as a neutral party due to being the starting academy. i have atm 1 affiliation with an Amarr corp. i could expand to a Khanid one then perhaps a Caldari corporation, just to keep it with the character background. in that case i wouldnt doubt on getting in terms with a Caldari corp with mining agents.

i also had a crazy idea about fitting a ship for hunting mission runners. the idea was scanning them down with combat probes then burning to them, tackle and then try to drain their capacitor while letting the rats do the rest. theres not many ships that can take on the job, at best i got to simulate a cheap fitted Crucifier with some shield buffer to try and survive. the problem is that i've never agressed someone in high sec, the articles on the internet dont mention which modules can be considered a flag for concord.

i dont really expect that a single nos + web + scram will be able to shutdown a battleship in the middle of a mission. perhaps swapping to hunt people in L3s but they would probably be able to kill me due to slightly better accuracy against frigates. the other option would be to hunt burner mission players which seems  unviable actually because of the high agility.

lvl 5 missions are only in lowsec.
For lvl 4s, if there are no lowsec systems around they won't send you into lowsec. I used to run from the systems next to Rens and was never sent there. (I think all lvl 4s are within a 2 jump radius?)

Tackling someone in Highsec will get you concorded, unless you have a legal reason to do so.
Attacking mission runners is done by stealing from their cans and hoping that they attack you. Then you are allowed to shoot back. Most battleships can tank the rats in missions forever and a small NOS will not often change that. A neut is way better. But if they aren't completly stupid they will just send their drones to kill you.

yeah i was hoping i could at least ruin someone before getting concordokken but oh well.

rank 260 and reached 700 million, if things keep going like this i'll probably be able to afford 500 PLEX at the end of the month. not gonna consume it soon tho, im gonna keep it for use just in case i really need to get those 30 days of Omega gametime to speed up  training skills. first im gonna try and complete the 5 million alpha skill learning plan, if i have the need to learn something of the remaining 13 million SP, then i'll activate omega.

i have like 40K LP stored in Hedion, i was considering buying full sets of +5 implants and selling them on the market but taking in account how difficult is to sell shit via contracts it seems i'll just trade in ships, so im gonna save further LP to perhaps invest in Navy Omen/Augoror (cant remember which one is sold there), there's also the Navy Apocalypse but that means a bigger grind of SP, probably will try to haul the cruiser instead along with the nexus chip.

the roadmap for now will be Hedion 10 -> Emperor Family 10 -> Khanid Innovation/Works 10, i have to check on a Caldari corp from the list, Minedrill would be a good idea but perhaps Ishukone or Perkone could serve me well too (i like Ishukone for their focus on hybrid platforms and Perkone has a cool historical background, its a corp that dates back all the way to the Industrial Revolution in Caldari Prime so its old AF).

as for the drone ratting sideproject. well it turns out that EANMII requires Hull Upgrades V (16 days to train) so i could only activate the DCII. i made tests with the punisher however, Drone Assembly was the first anom i found, its a rank 3 anomaly with a chance for escalation, the ship handled it allthought the last destroyer spawn got me into hull at some point. with better skills and the rest of the fit online this shouldnt happen.

the payout is low as expected from a high sec combat site, 150K in payout, i forgot to salvage but it would probably have been metal scraps for everything so not much of a loose. the experiment showed no standing loss with the Rogue Drone faction. so its safe to asume i can farms these things in harder places, perhaps i could specialize in hunting drone DEDs and the like, problem is a good part of the cool ones are in low/null. it will be tricky for the rewards.

so in the meantime im gonna keep with the distribution LP farming, for Khanid it seems i'll have to swap for a mining ship at some point, will need to figure out a way to do L4 mining sites in a timely manner with a Venture, not much for blitzing them but for completing the site without loosing the time bonus reward.

Is there a reason you care about your rogue drone standing?

Is there a reason you care about your rogue drone standing?

i have 1.2 standing with all normal factions and 0.8 standing with all "criminal" factions. i dont want to break that balance, Rogue Drone hunting so far is safe as they dont incurr in a loss compared to hunting pirates. so i do that, they are the only faction i can run for anomalies while keeping my standings intact.

for just in case i want to do missions for the pirates i wont have to do a serious standing grind to get missions from any of their agents. Jove, Triglav, Rogue Drone and Drifter standing is just the cherry on top.

Do they offer more mission opportunities these days?

i dont know much about that, its just so i dont have to grind COSMOS missions or stuff like that to be able to talk with their agents and get higher ones because i got -2 and below standing due to mindless ratting or something like that.

Rank 280 in Project Discovery. im getting close to 800 million, time sure flies fast.

im getting close to standing 3 with Emperor Family. this is mostly  because of the L2 runs i've been doing in the weekend as the Hedion L4 agents are still stuck giving only a few high sec missions before putting me on the 4 hour waiting line to decline lowsec destinations. if things keep going like this im gonna have to start considering running them just to see if i can get those guys to change directions.

despite previous disappointment with the Punisher i think i found a way to fulfill the whole Khanid Alpha gameplay by moving some stuff with the Magnate, its not exactly a PvE fit but it can pull some serious DPS if used to farm other players (in the case that you can actually farm people in lowsec with this):

[Magnate, "Rogue Archaeologist"]

Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Damage Control II
200mm Rolled Tungsten Compact Plates

Warp Scrambler II
1MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner
Fleeting Compact Stasis Webifier

'Arbalest' Rocket Launcher I
'Arbalest' Rocket Launcher I
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II

Small Drone Durability Enhancer I
Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I
Small Projectile Locus Coordinator I

Hobgoblin II x8

Caldari Navy Mjolnir Rocket x90
Republic Fleet Fusion S x200

this fit was originally discussed in the chat to be able to countergank Asteros in WHs. after seeing the few kills with actual PvP build in the killboards, this doesnt seem to be possible, even on the original version where it had Trimarks instead of Projectile and Drone rigs (that summed up for more than 4.6K EHP but WH Asteros use a double repping setup). the active version was possible but it meant running a Nosferatu module or taking down the Web. i didnt want to do that so i had to scale down to a more reasonable ecosystem.

seeing that i probably dont need such an amount of buffer to kill other explorers or the like, i decided to scrap the Trimarks and add some extra performance to the rest of the weapons, some durability for drones and increased optimal for autocannons.

this is based on current skills but the benefits should stack up with properly trained Gunnery, Drone and Missile skills. in fact, many of the ship stats must be way better once i finish learning their respective fields. not using Trimarks also meant i could keep top speed despite the decrease in agility. using a 400mm compact plate is possible by replacing one of the other rigs with a PG rig but im not sure if the 100hp difference is really worth it compared to having better optimal.

all in all the ship is designed not to tank, but instead, to take enemies by surprise and melt them as fast as can be possible to achieve. in general terms the projectile turret isnt needed at all if you overheat the Rocket launchers, but this gives an extra bit of damage type coverage and doesnt mess up the fit apart of needing to refit after killing.

an active tank version may be possible to achieve just by changing the tackle mods with capacitor enhancements, will have to check tomorrow or something.

for now i will just keep on hauling.
