The year is 14128, and the war between cats and dogs has reached a climax. The situation is so dire that the respective factions are picking HUMAN FORUMITE INVENTORS to help the war effort.
The dog side weapons and knowledge are:

Rottweiler: a tough but slow tankish unit
Labrador: anaverage unit with a minor boost in toughness
Corgi: an average unit with a bonus in speed
Chihuahua: a weak fast unit.

General Knowledge
Basic flight, basic mechanics, basic gun

Weapons
Puppy Pistol:uses the power of alliteration to shoot 15 meters.
Paw: basic melee attack, comes free

Tactics
Charge,
Squads

Overall: the dogs are a strong frontal assault force, but lack slightly in tactics.

Cats:

Persian: a relatively tough unit, but still has decent speed
Snowshoe: a tough but average cat
Siamese: an average cat that is speedy
Sphinx: the weakest unit, but the fastest

Weapons
Cat claw: the basic melee attack. Comes for free.
Catting pistol: a 15ft range basic gun, comes at a small attack

General Knowledge
Basic flight basic guns, basic mechanics

Tactics
Kit-and-run
Ambush

Overall: the cats are a fast and damaging, if unruly and weak army to control.

Turns go in 3 phases: Research, Production, and Combat.
In the Research Phase, the group can create or vote on designs for units, tactics, equipment or knowledge to research.
In the Production Phase you can vote on which weapons and units are used in the Combat phase.

You understand all of those dogs can turn those cats into mincemeat?, ambush and hit and run isn’t really effective when the target is of a different weight class in comparison, at least because all of those are house cats. Even than, a pack of K9 units could easily demolish any opposition of big cats. Also a difference of physical power between the two species

Also flight and basic guns? What do the carnivores have access to dog fighters, and ak47s now?. They all got opposable thumbs, I’m imagining

Yes, I am aware of the technical imbalance of that, however these are not quite the everyday real world pets, them having opposable thumbs and all, and the cats are almost as large as the dogs. And by basic guns I mean single shot, crude weapons.

Erm, Shadow...your point stands when it comes to the Rottweiler and Labrador but, the corgi is mostly on a even field with the cats, and the chihuahua? they are good for a laugh and not much else. Also, I doubt a Pack of K9's could deal with a pride of lions....no offense....unless you meant big cat as in, a housecat that's large in which, well, misunderstood you there.

Okay large cats, especially lions with their broods, would be a formidable threat since lions have evolved to hunt larger prey and such, and have better physical feats compared to your typical german shepard. But at least domestication-wise, dogs have shown better feats of intellect and specialization that cats haven’t achieved on the par. Basically while the lion pride show better physical attributes, the K9 unit of German Shepard have access to better senses, in many ways coordination, and also emotional support
