Wait, double stranded RNA and DNA are 2 different things.
Yeah, but only in the fact that DNA has thymine and RNA has Uracil.
Also the backbone of DNA is deoxyribose while RNA uses ribose.

 I think our priority should be developing a cytoskeleton to move vacuoles around
+1 I was going to post that, we also need it for holding up a tougher cell membrane

It's time to specialize a bit more now that we have the chance. Introduce a degree of specialization in  our colonies, with outer cells devoted to mobility and absorption of food and inner cells devoted to diestion and protein synthesis

I think that tougher cell membranes for the external side of the external cells is a good choice.

Each cell, it was tried a while back to prevent viruses but we didn't have the cytoskeleton to hold it up. Maybe we should try integrating silicon with certain protiens to make it?

The problem is that the bacteria are masquerading as our cells, going into the colony, and receiving free nutrients, so we should probably deal with that.

The problem is that the bacteria are masquerading as our cells, going into the colony, and receiving free nutrients, so we should probably deal with that.
Sure, but we should get a better membrane so we aren't killed by the sun while we are at it, and we might want to wait before going true multicellular.

I like the 2 stages of our growht cycle. Anyway, ot seems we need to find another source of food soon. I say let's create a system for filter feeding. Several flagella create a constant current in an opening (a sort of very primitive mouth), taped with cells specialized in digesting and absorbing both floating nutrients and especially other cells.

First, we should gain a mitochondrion like organelle so that we can break down stuff into energy more efficiently, and more complex things as well. We should then evolve into a floating mat type structure, and speciate into two organisms: a photosynthesizing organism and a filter feeding one.

I don't think we can consume cells, we have been using chemosynthesis. Not even sure we have cellular respiration.
