I meant mechanics-wise, as it would be silly to have the exact same mechanics as used by weapon-wielders.  Zero damage would be fine, as would half damage, as would normal damage but no effects from weapon mods, say.

It would be like attacking with a weapon sans any mods. In other words, normal damage with no way of enhancing it with mods.

We have infinite respawns, so killing yourself if you get horribly injured actually makes sense.

Out of context, it seems that I am basically saying something along the lines of 'you try and hold the door, make sure to save one bullet for yourself' etc etc

Or you could just kill yourself and save everyone the trouble of using tons a valuable medical resources just to stabilize you, when you already are probably gonna die anyways, and you've got, like I said, infinite respawns with essentially no consequences (that we know of) soooooo....

You can't loan me a bayonet, weapons are welded to their users, to the point where you can't put them down even if you want to.  If it's part of your weapon, you can't give it to me.

If it's a seperate item that you spent time making, then I could take it.

However.. if it's a weapon mod I would also not be able to use it, not having a magic weapon.  So I'd probably take it, and break it or throw it away, because Lemmy's a jerk.  Same if it's an ordinary weapon, a separate item you made.

So knock yourself out if you want to give him something, just don't expect me to use it, or him to keep it.  Breaking it in front of its creator for cheap lulz is about all I'd expect.

I only plan on getting and making things in order to solve problems with them.  Until there's an actual problem, I don't intend to get anything, particularly not stuff that does nothing but give stats... if I'd wanted stats, I'd have kept XP tracking and taken the 30 or so extra points I'd have available.

Stuff like 'Grab this rope so you can climb back into the boat', not 'take this knife so you can kill monsters with it.'  I'll take a look at the monsters first before deciding how to kill them, thank you.

It's also that I don't feel most of the stuff that would come would be useful.  I mean, you gave him a nice attack boosting mod, but using it would bring his ability to kill stuff up to 'bad'.  It looks good on paper, like you gave him something to help him deal with the enemies that will murder him horribly and possibly fight back for the first stage, but I don't see it as that.

I see it as something that will be useless next stage, and will make me spend my actions this time around trying to do something I'm bad at, with limited, if any success.. so, a trinket, really.
