Waitlist, ho.
Name: Matthias O'Connel
Appearance: A middle-aged man with greying curly hair and a full beard. His eyes are a dark blue.
Personality: Comfortable with--and only with--himself, he finds other people an annoying distraction at best, and a threat at worst. This leads to him being irritable and ill-tempered. Whether this is a shame or a benefit, Matthias cannot decide. Similar, in fact, with many things in the man's life.
Backstory: A simple fisherman, who, in his best of days, was a genial young fellow and a successful fisher. Eventually, however, his good fortune had dried up--a betrayal, perhaps, or maybe his love of drink and merriment overruling good sense--, and so with it, his faith in others. His state has improved since then, but even nowadays still suffers from his past decisions. Nevertheless, his bullheadedness, even for all the suffering it has caused for him, does help him pull through difficult spots.
Patron God: Nodens
Gift: Anguish and despair are known enemies to Matthias, and the man has managed to gain a natural resistance to hysterias.
Insight: Horrors of the sea.
I can actually put you in the list of current players, as some of the original players are missing. They are going to be moved to the waitlist once I find inspiration and finish the Turn 20.
An Elder God? Very interesting choice. While they
might have sincere feelings for humanity's wellbeing, they are depised by the Great Old Ones and their followers. That means you get more divine protection, but also divine wrath from other gods. Followers of Outer Gods and Great Old Ones also have their own rules. For example, it's harder to gain the interest of an Outer God, but their divine powers are stronger.
"Horrors of the sea" might be too broad, and the horrors of the sea are very varied. You should pick a specific type of horror or divine being instead.
