puppyeater, let's introduce an item to our prairie dogs: rope or nets, or both if we can introduce multiple.
I kinda doubt the prairie dogs are intelligent enough to use nets, but let's find out, shall we?
Mutators
Introduce nets into the habitat of the prairie dogs.

Rodents of War would like to drop out, unless someone else would like to take over the team.

Geogophers

Make a vertical obstacle course with really good food or something as a prize at the top, with obstacles that the dogs must work together to pass while also being shot at by projectile traps. And make sure they can't just dig around to bypass the course.

Give two prairie dog in each village a stick that confers authority. Then have that dog die and the stick given to the prairie dog that appears to have killed the other prairie dog also add in a way for the dog to surrender the stick. Introduce said sticks into all of the villages. Repeat until they associate fighting and killing with power gain.

Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

Oh fuck you, you don't actually expect me to encourage my men to slaughter each other?
Teach anyone who's fighting regularly some real martial arts. Unarmed, quickly takes care of the fat and lazy (you can have treats, but you'll have to work that energy off if you want more!) and has ways of dealing with enemies armed with long weapons like sticks, spears or bayoneted rifles. Tell them that they'd better get good at that and physically fit before next round if they don't want to be taken over by mean, brutish, probably mutated people with sharp sticks.

Rodents of War

The only legacy Rodents of War action was the Siberian Tiger blood, right? Am I on week two?

I'll take charge!

Introduce a bunch of rabbits, rats, mice, and moles to the habitat.

Puppy, what do you think of trying again with either a less edible type of net, or with something like turtle shells or pikes? The pikes might be good for defending against the birds.
I know the options are items, environment, and society, but I can't think of anything particularly interesting to do woth society and environment, unless we somehow force all the animals into combat.

Well, if we want to use nets again, I suggest aluminum nets. They're lightweight and inedible, so the Prairie dogs should use them.

If we use pikes we'd want them to be inedible as well, since sticks will probably be prairie dog feed.
